CHAPTER FORTY THREE

Victor's hands trembled as he fumbled for his phone, he looked very unsteady with his heart pounding in his chest.

He dialed Michael's number with urgency, the anxiety evident in his voice as he recounted the distressing scene at home.

"Michael, it's Victor. Something's happened to my mom. I need you to come back right away," he pleaded, his words rushed and filled with desperation.

Michael, sensing the gravity of the situation, responded quickly, "What happened, Victor? Is she okay?"

"No, she's unconscious on the floor. I don't know what's wrong. Please, I need your help. Come back, we have to get her to the hospital," Victor urged, his voice was cracking with worry.

"I'm turning around now, Victor. Hang in there," Michael reassured him, the tension was evident even through the phone.

As Victor anxiously waited for Michael's arrival, he knelt beside his mother, attempting to resuscitate her.
