CHAPTER 11

Dr Manuel's mouth was shaky as he mumbled meaningless words. What was he to do? Expose the secret of the Davidson family he was very conversant with or keep his mouth shut and see for himself how powerful and dangerous the dead dog turned crowned prince really was, even to his own detriment?

"It was a still birth Romeo. We encountered a very critical situation and we had to choose between the baby or your wife or should I say ex wife." He struggled to say.

Romeo stared intently at the doctor for a couple of minutes and upon reading his eyes he didn't find that story very convincing.

He sent a message across to one of his men, a captain to be precise, asking if he had carried out his order of reaching their purposed location and instantly he got a positive reply.

"Are you sure of what you say?"

"Yes I am."

Romeo smiled. "Well we are going to see how sure you are."

"What do you mean?"

Romeo after a few clicks on his phone showed it to doctor Manuel. It was a video, a streamed video.

"Do you recognize this place?"

Dr Manuel was dumbfounded, he couldn't believe his eyes. "That's…that's my house that is my wife and kids…why are soldiers around my house? Why are my wife and kids face down on the floor? Why are soldiers parading around my wife and children?"

"You made me to do this."

"But I told you how your daughter died. It was a still birth."

"Dr Manuel if you must know those soldiers are my finest, and what makes them my finest is because they are the most brutal, however the soldiers around your wife and child are not just brutal but they are savages, and when I mean by savages I mean that they do not mind torturing your beautiful wife and your adorable children to death, cutting them limb from limb." Said Romeo in a cold tone.

Dr Manuel was breathless.

"Funny enough, there are cannibals amongst them who would find extreme pleasure feasting on the flesh and blood of your wife after messing her up. You know what I mean."

Dr Manuel clearly understood what Romeo was saying.

"All I need to do is give the order and not only would your professional life be over, but your family, your reason to live and love would be gone."

"I…I…but how?"

"I am going to ask you one last time, and you answer would determine if your innocent wife and child would live or die. You have one chance to say the truth. And don't you think of lying to me because I saw the marks on my daughter's neck."

Dr Manuel collapsed to his chair. He put his hands on his face. He felt trapped, what would he do now.

"It was Mrs Davidson. She told me to do it."

"Shit." Romeo gritted his teeth and clenched his fist. He had suspected her all along.

"Please Romeo, I am not a killer, she threatened to revoke my license if I didn't do it."

"What was her motivation?"

"It…it…was…it"

"Would you speak up before I disfigure your godforsaken face. What was her motivation!" Romeo bellowed in anger, even slamming his clenched fist on the table.

"She wanted me to kill your baby because she didn't want any strong ties with you. She planned to hand Linda over to Andrew Baines, so he could be her new husband. She considered your offspring worthless."

This revelation was too much for Romeo to take so he collapsed on his seat. He never expected this.

He had put on his facade of modesty and poverty just to get married to a woman who he knew loved him for who he was, but not only was he treated like a dead dog, his offspring was considered worthless and was killed in the process.

An innocent soul was lost just because he wanted to find true love.

Romeo stared menacingly at Dr Manuel for some few minutes, uttering no words.

Dr Manuel's heart sank upon seeing the amount of hate, anger and revenge written all over Romeo's face. "Please leave my innocent family out of this. I was pressured. Please!" Dr Manuel began to shed tears with his fingers crossed as he begged Romeo.

Romeo dialled a number.

"Hello."

"Hello my prince."

"Free the woman and kids, but before you do that, take out the fore finger of his youngest daughter."

"But my prince…"

"That is an order."

"Okay my prince."

Romeo hanged up the phone, however before he hanged up the call intense screams and pleading was heard on the background. It was Dr Manuel's wife pleading the innocence of her child.

"No! What are you doing? Stop that! Please do not do that, she is just six years old!" Dr Manuel rushed towards Romeo, pleading and begging in bitter tears.

Romeo puched Dr Manuel in the face causing the doctor to stumble and land face first on the floor. "But I told you that it was Mrs Davidson that made me do it." Dr Manuel said with a faint voice. The impact of the blow was great.

Dr Manuel's revelation made Romeo to understand better how he was despised by the Davidson's, however with a heavy heart, he turned around to leave Dr Manuel's office.

"But what about my license. Please I need to be able to provide for my family."

Romeo stopped and looked over his shoulder to the doctor. "You should be lucky I spared you and your family, by the way if you speak of my true identity to anyone, I would order the total extermination of your family. It would be done in your face, and after that, I would make sure you are cut limb from limb just before I bury you alive." Romeo said in a cold menacing tone.

Romeo felt consumed, the weight was too much, with the enormous power within his grasp, what was he going to do now?
