Two days later, Major Kriel was in his base playing a game of chess with one of his officers, Lieutenant Varga.

The room was quiet, with just the sounds of machinery and soft conversations in the background.

Kriel moved a knight, capturing one of Varga's pawns, and smiled confidently.

"You see, Varga," Kriel said, "chess is all about being patient and thinking ahead. Knowing when to strike is crucial."

Varga nodded, thinking hard about his next move. "Yes, Major. But sometimes, a bold move can surprise the opponent."

Before Kriel could respond, the door burst open. A soldier, out of breath and looking excited, rushed in. He stood at attention and saluted. "Major Kriel, I have urgent news!"

Kriel raised an eyebrow, slightly annoyed at the interruption. "Speak."
