Major Kriel's command vehicle came to a screeching halt. He grabbed the radio, barking orders. "Everyone, get out of the vehicles and take cover! Secure the perimeter and return fire if necessary!"

Lieutenant Varga, shaken but determined, helped Kriel out of the vehicle. "Major, it looks like the Mondosh army have hooked us in an ambush. We need to regroup and reassess the situation."

Explosions continued to rock the Harte Boer convoy, shaking the ground and filling the air with smoke and dust.

The loud booms echoed all around, making it hard to think. Harte Boer rebels quickly jumped out of their vehicles, looking around nervously as they tried to secure their perimeter.
