The bossy looking receptionist, began to look condescendingly at Romeo. "And what do you think you just did? Huh." She looked daring. "What did you think, that slamming the counter and ordering me to take back my words which are true would make me to chicken out and be sorry?" She paused.

"Sorry love, that ain't happening. Now take your battered body, bruised scarface and animalistic demeanour out of this hotel or you would not like the way I am going to treat you." She pointed at the exit.

Romeo's heart began to thump, and his instincts was to give her a dirty slap right in the face, but he hesitated.

If only she had the slightest idea of the persona she was regarding with contempt and disdain.

If only she knew a fraction of the sacrifices, hurt and pain that birthed those scars which gave her the much needed freedom and livelihood as a citizen of Mondosh, she would have been more respectful.
