INDOMITABLE ROMEO STORMBREAKER

CHAPTER 8

The governor was taken aback for a moment, momentarily shocked at Romeo's demeanor.

He furrowed his brow. "And who do you think you are to speak to me in such manner?"

Romeo decided to calm down. "I am sorry your excellency. I just lost it."

"My God…like I don't understand. You barged into my office and yelled at me? Have you forgotten who I am? Do you have any idea where you are standing?"

"With all due respect your excellency as a patriotic soldier with the earnest desire for the prosperity of Mondosh I was enraged because I got to discover that you are a patron of whores. It is disgraceful to your person."

The governor zipped up his trousers. He walked towards Romeo and slapped him in the face. "You deadbeat of a military personnel. What made you think that a petty insolent Lance corporal like you should have the balls to talk to me in such manner."

"But…"

"One more word from you and not only would I make sure you are shamefully thrown out of my office, but I would make sure that you are dismissed from the army. Do you hear me?" He bellowed.

"I dare you Aaron Bautmeger. Do your worst and see what happens." Romeo looked unshaken as he spoke with confidence and authority.

The governor was wide eyed, with his mouth stuck wide open. He swung his hand to slap him once more but this time Romeo held his hand.

"Guards!" The governor yelled, causing Romeo to immediately leave his arm.

The guards hastily entered the office. Three of them, with cold faces and emotionless expressions.

"Yes your excellency, what is the problem?" Asked one of the guards.

"Take this dog out of my sight, beat him black and blue and seize his badge from him. Now!" He bellowed in anger.

The two guards looked at each other, waiting for whom to begin the assault.

Romeo immediately took out his phone and dialled a number.

"Hello Lt. General Thompson."

"Hello my prince."

"Order the soldiers to surround the government house. I hereby declare Dr Aaron Bautmeger's government null and void."

"Yes my prince." Said the voice in the background."

Romeo turned to the governor. "You would regret your actions, I tell you." Romeo pointed at him.

The governor became more enraged. "I said beat the hell out of this mad man!"

One of the guards lunged towards Romeo, however before he could release a punch, a loud roar of vehicles were heard outside.

The governor was instantly puzzled because the sound of these engines were far from that which he used to see regularly.

The roar of these vehicles became louder as they edged closer causing the governor to peep out his window. A chill ran down his spine as the surprise struck him hard.

He had just seen tons of armoured tanks driving into the state house and coupled with that, he could here the buzzing sirens and the humming engines of the bullion vans that contained the soldiers.

Soon these vehicles came to a halt and heavily armed military men jumped out of the vehicles.

They moved in precise formation with some surrounding the exterior of the state house, while the others entered the office.

The governor soon saw a senior official making his way into the government building, escorted by armed soldiers.

The governor turned to Romeo. "What is the meaning of this? Who are you?"

Romeo was silent, snubbing his question. Romeo then turned to one of the police men. "Open the door. Now." He said that firmly, with an aura of authority.

Without hesitation, the policeman opened the door, hastily and innocently.

Romeo smiled, walked towards the governor, shoved him aside and sat on the governor's seat. This act was met with no opposition as the governor stood there dumbfounded.

After exactly five minutes, Lt. General Thompson alongside the heavily armed soldiers with their RPGs, AK-47 rifles and machine guns bust into the scene.

Upon sighting this emotionless and grim looking soldiers with their weapons of terror, Dr Aaron Bautmeger piss on his pants. He was consumed with fear and dread.

"Did you really have to bring all these lieutenant?" Asked Romeo.

"It's Lieutenant General." Thompson said with respect as he took the seat across where Romeo was seating. "I did this just in case, so that the coup would be successful and cause the heart of the potential opposing members of the government to melt just as that of this chicken right here." He pointed at the governor who was trembling with fear.

"Dude what is that." Lt. General Thompson laughed as he noticed his wet pants.

The soldiers in the room joined him in the laughter.

Romeo was not bothered about that. "Look here old man." He ordered.

"Yes sir." The governor quickly turned replying hastily and innocently.

"I find you guilty of patronizing whores and doing your dirty business, fucking them in the state house, and from the looks of things if you can hardend to commit such disgraceful act, then surely you must be into money laundering, embezzlement of state funds and other corrupt activities. Am I correct?"

The governor was silent out of shame.

"I said am I correct!" Romeo bellowed causing the governor to shudder out of fear.

"Yes sir! Yes sir!" The governor replied instinctively but funny enough it was true and due to Romeo's thorough military training with regards to human psychology, he found what he said to be true. His eyes said it all.

Romeo sighed. "From now on, you seize to be the governor of Yilaburg. Your government has been dissolved and Lt. General Thompson."

"Yes my prince."

"Make sure he is locked up and conduct a thorough investigation on his assets. Make sure his account is frozen and confiscate his assets."

"Yes my prince."

"As for you scum bag." He referred to the governor. "You are to pay a sum of twenty million dollars to the state account as a fine for your misconduct today. Am I understood?"

"Yes…yes…sir." The now ex governor was shaky in speech.

And here marked the beginning of the military regime of Romeo Stormbreaker in the state of Yilaburg.

Now he was governor of Yilaburg, was he prepared for the storm of challenges that were to come?

Well he believed he was.
