CHAPTER 9

Even after the early morning jog with the battalion that morning round the military facility, Romeo could not just forget about the marks that was discovered on his baby's neck.

Despite the fact that he led the soldiers round the facility, chanting and motivating them hereby lifting their morale, Romeo's heart was still heavy.

He was restless, however he didn't think of anything else to do than to make enquires of what really happened to his daughter.

Immediately after the roadwork, Romeo took a shower, put on some simple clothing, and drove out of the military facility en route to the Yilaburg general hospital where his daughter had died.

While he was driving, news of the military take over in Yilaburg was rampant on the news.

Radio stations and their analysts including political activists, experts and politicians engaged themselves in detailed conversations with regards to what to expect from the restructured state.

The name Romeo Stormbreaker was on the lips of everyone in the state, however no one knew his true identity.

Both advantages and disadvantages of the military take over was aired out as part of their opinions.

Romeo was not really concerned about the analysis, he wondered about what was going to be the outcome of the doctor that operated his wife, Doctor Manuel.

He parked his cheap Mercedes Benz at the parking lot of the hospital and strode straight into the hospital building.

He walked to were the receptionist was sitting and with a matter of urgency he asked. "Were is doctor Manuel?"

"He is in his office." The receptionist noticed his restless demeanor and asked. "Is everything alright?"

"Oh yes. Everything is fine…I…I would be going there."

"Um sir, if you want to consult him for any reason you have to register your card and wait for your turn."

"No ma'am. I am not sick." He feigned a smile. "I am a close friend and it is an emergency issue." He tried to be calm.

"Okay sir."

Romeo immediately turned around with the purpose of navigating Doctor Manuel's office.

Dr Manual was done attending to a patient when Romeo immediately entered with a matter of urgency causing Dr Manuel to be taken aback.

"Romeo. You are here." Dr Manual seemed to be short of words.

Romeo closed the door after the patient and funny enough, he bolted it.

"What is the meaning of this? What are you doing?"

Romeo took a seat and looked at Dr Manuel straight in the eyes. "I think it would be best for you if you would stay calm and be more interactive and sincere."

Dr Manual was surprised at the level of confidence that Romeo exuded in his speech.

He looked at him up and down and being aware of his modest background as the wretched and despised son in-law of Mrs Davidson, he saw Romeo's request as a disrespect to his person.

"Who do you think you are Romeo Stewart? At first you locked me up inside my own office, now you threaten me, a highly ranked and highly esteemed doctor not only in this county, but also in the state. Have you gone mad?"

"Like I said before Dr Manuel, you need to calm down here and be responsive. All these ranting would do you no good. I may be a lowly esteemed individual, yes, but I need some answers that only you can give, to the questions that I have to ask."

After a long state at Romeo Dr Manuel asked. "What questions do you desire to ask me?"

"What happened to my daughter? How did she die?"

"And why do you ask me such questions after your wife had been discharged. If I am correct, you were present in the day of delivery and I would have considered it appropriate to ask me such a question."

"You are dragging this matter unnecessarily. I asked a simple question, and I require a simple answer. How did my daughter die?" Romeo looked more serious this time around.

At this point Dr Manuel flared up in anger because considering Romeo as a nobody, he felt insulted and embarrassed.

How would a low class individual with no qualifications and notable skills speak to him in such manner.

"I can see that you must be on drugs to forget the caliber of person you are talking to."

"I guess all I asked was a non rhehorical question which is easy to understand." Romeo said calmly, however doctor Manuel stood up a gave Romeo the marching orders.

"Leave my office, or I am going to shame you in this hospital, to the sight of everyone here. I may be a doctor, but I swear you do not want me to reveal my dark side." Dr Manuel stiffened his face as he muttered those firm words.

To Romeo, since his calm approach seemed to be a waste of time, he decided that plan B was the best alternative.
