Connor grinned as he handed Dorian the hangover cure and watched him gulp it down all at once

He could tell Dorian wasn’t drunk, but since Dorian had insisted on it, they had come to a small store to get one. The female at the cash register smiled at him and Dorian, but while Connor smiled back, he found Dorian simply ignoring her. Once they were outside, Connor walked casually beside Dorian and asked, “Are you okay now?”

Dorian nodded and took a deep breath wondering if he should thank or ignore this strange person. He could remember Connor, he was one of the people whose name and face had actually stuck in his head despite the long list of people he had driven.

Connor said he had been in the small crowd that gathered to watch him and Marie, but he didn’t want to interrupt their conversation so he stayed hidden.
