The Mansion

Alice continued to admire the place as they made their way to the mansion. She wished her husband was with her to see the beauty of the forest. But her husband Thomas will be the last person to enter the forest and she can never make a mistake of letting him know about her visit to the forest. It is better to save her marriage, because she could not lose Thomas for anything.

While walking Alice felt tired and decided to tell Rebecca how tired she was. That she started feeling her heart beating fast. She needed to rest.

"Rebecca, I am so tired we have been walking for a while now I need to rest please." She said hoping Rebecca will agree to it.

"Alright then take a rest I will look around if I can find something for us to eat I guess you must be hungry too." Rebecca replied, looking at the tired Alice. "Alice, are you sure you are fine? Your face looks pale."

"Yes Rebecca I am. I just need to rest, I think the herbs I took so I can look sick are getting back at me, I will be fine. And please you can also get water too." She said as she sat on the floor breathing high.

"Okay dear. Please do not go around, stay here I will be back soon okay?" Rebecca said as she turned around and went to find food and water. Alice on the other hand sat on the floor catching her breath.

'Why am I breathing this way? I only walked, not ran. I think I need to stop using those herbs.' Alice said, asking herself.

After some time Alice saw Rebecca coming towards her with fruits and water.

"Here, have this." Rebecca said, giving Alice some apples. "You know this is a forest where we can not actually get food, only fruit."

"Yeah I know. Thank you, this will be enough."

"Okay then eat up and rest a little, so we can make our way to the mansion in time."

"Okay. Uhhmm Rebecca do you know how many hours we have spent on our way? Because I think it's almost sunset out there. And Thomas must be worried about me since I am not at home."

"Do not worry Alice, yes the time here is totally different from outside the forest. We have spent four hours here."

"Four hours?! Oh my Thomas must be so worried we need to go." Alice said as she tries to get up but Rebecca stops her.

"Hey Alice it is fine you worry too much. Here it is four hours, but out there it's just two hours."

"Ohh really?" Alice felt at ease hearing this, because she now knows that Thomas is not home yet.

"Yes Alice."

"Who used to live here?" Alice asked in curiosity.

"Used to or who is?"

"So there is someone living in this place? No wonder the place is all clean and shining."

"Yes a Goddess lives here and she is the one we are going to meet."

"What?! A Goddess? I thought that things do not exist like God and Goddess, demons and witches."

"Then you will soon be surprised that they do."

"Rebecca, how do you know so much about life?"

"Because I have been in this world for a very long time my dear." She said, giving a smile to Alice.

"Hmm."

"Speechless huh? When you are done resting please let me know."

"Okay I think I have rested enough."

"Alright alice." She said as she helped Alice up.

"Thank you."

"You are always welcome."

Alice turned to Rebecca with a smile "so how long has this Goddess been living here?"

"Since the very beginning."

"Wow, tell me, is she pretty? Have you met her?"

"Hahaha once Alice."

"That is nice."

"Yeah. Let us hurry up. Am sure Thomas will be so happy when you get pregnant."

"That has always been my desire. I have always awaited the day I will carry my baby with my own hands."

"And soon you shall trust me."

"Yeah I do and I can not wait to make you my baby's Godmother."

Rebecca frowned looking at Alice.

"What is wrong Rebecca, did I say something to anger you?"

"No, it is fine. Let us just hurry up to the mansion."

"Oh okay."

Rebecca kept Alice quiet for some time as they made their way to the mansion and soon they saw a young and beautiful lady approaching their way.

"Rebecca." Alice tapped on Rebecca's arm as she saw the young woman coming. "Who's she? Rebecca. Is she the Goddess? She looks so beautiful and tall.

"No Alice she is not. She is just a receiver. Wait until you see the Goddess you will be out of words.

"Really? A receiver? She looks too beautiful for that. and how do you know that?"

"Alice just stop asking please."

Soon the woman got to where they were standing. Alice and Rebecca stop on their tracks. As Rebecca smiled at the young woman.

"Welcome to the heart of Edin. I am lushly I will be taking you from here, please follow me."

"Thank you lushly." Rebecca answered with a smile as she followed her from behind.

Alice became confused on why they were taking another way to the mansion.

She could not stop looking at her beauty and amazing glowing skin. But it was not okay following her. That she needed to ask Rebecca why they were following a different way to the mansion.
