The three pirate ships were drowned in the lights of their own cannon fire. Explosions spread all over the ships and a large hole was blasted into the sides of the pirate ships.
Normally, pirate ships were usually focused more on speed and attack power, and their defense was usually very fragile. Also, the three ships had routed most of their energy into charging their cannons so they could deliver a powerful strike. This made their originally lousy shields become even more flimsy.
With just one shot, the three pirate ships became crippled.
The cannon shots were also aimed at a clever angle that caused massive damage to the thrusters of the ships. Right now, the three pirate ships were sitting ducks in space and they could not move because their thrusters had been damaged.
How did all of this come to be?
