Ch 1: Got Isekai'd To Another World

I was so close to breaking through my limits but alas I don't know what to do? I have failed at least 100 times and each time I start losing my focus."How foolish of me! I was busy cultivating so much that I Wang Lei the "Immortal God Emperor" didn't notice the turbulent energy coming from the heart of this forest."

As I got closer and closer to the source of the disturbance I started feeling a strange attraction. 

It is the mystery of the Dao of Space. Even though I was 1000 years old already, my heart could not contain the excitement and started laughing with joy. The reason why I secluded myself from my family and friends was for this sole reason. The will to gain true immortality. 

"If this source really has the mystery of space then I will be able to achieve my dream". As I was getting closer to the source my true qi was starting to get disturbed. And out of my expectation..... the lightning stroke me.

Now here I am in some kind of strange world which I have never seen. How careless of me to actually go so close to the source? Fortunately I didn't get destroyed by that violent energy.

Looks here and there...

"This is me? Why am I in my twenties again? No more than that what is this energy in the surroundings? It feels like qi but is much more dense and purer than the qi in my world. Well this place seems like a forest let's explore a bit.

Finding himself in a totally unknown place full of weird beasts Wang Lei felt lost. Not much time did pass, then trouble found Lei.

A huge winged creature with two legs, tail as of a serpent and head of a rooster..... it's obvious a cockatrice attacked him.

"Hahaha"...How funny this is just so hilarious that I forgot all my worries. Even though I got transmigrated to this strange world but still my realm is the same as before. And yet this beast dares to stand against me?

"Let me show you "Strange beast", who is superior here."

[Bone Crushing Palm]

His palm immersed with qi directy hit the vitals of the cockatrice and crushed its every bone rendering him crippled and die after few seconds.

The beings here are so weak. But good enough I started feeling hunger even after being an immortal. I can use it to contain my hunger. Strange when I was in Tianyu Continent I didn't ever felt hunger but as I used just a bit of my strength I started starving like a mortal.

As Wang Lei was going to dismantle the cockatrice he hears some noises from behind the bushes.

Footsteps... huff....huff.

"Did I got away from them? I thought this was my last day to live. If I would have got caught by them.....then all I have worked hard for will be in vain."

As a girl with silver hair, green jade eyes, skin complexion as white as snow and quite a blossom chest. She wore silver armour, shiny pearl earrings, had a beautiful sword, a mixture of gold and silver with excellent craftmanship. Rather than looking like a damsel in distress, she looked more like a powerful warrior full of pride and honour.

"Fairy do you need any help? I can sense that some people are following you....and you're escaping away from them. I conclude that they are not your allies." 

How foolish of me to ask this question. Her right hand is injured, she is completely exhausted from running. Anyone can tell she requires help.

Wang Lei wanted to help her but his courtesy was interpreted wrongly by her and in her mind, she thought" Who is this weirdo? He looks so weak yet wants to protect me? What is that strange outfit he is wearing? He looks so shady." Good thing Lei wasn't able to hear it or else he would be heartbroken.

"I am grateful that you are willing to offer me help but I don't want anyone else to get involved in my problems. I can handle them all, so please leave immediately. I don't want a stranger to die for my sake." The girl rejected him very politely...

Hmmm, she can understand my language? Strange though! How can she understand it?

Looks like she is doubtful due to my appearance. Very well I shall leave her for now and watch from afar. In my whole life of cultivation, I never have seen such a courageous and selfless act from a girl of her age. On a closer look, I find that she should be 17 years old.

Alas if I was younger then I would have fallen for her but mentally I am 1000 years old and physically I am 20 years old so my mind can remain pretty calm.

Lei moved away from the place and hid behind a tree. The pursuers who were following the girl finally caught up to her. The group mostly contained few knights and a big build swordsman carrying a large and broad heavy blade.

Slowly their steps approached her....being totally cornered she had no choice but to kill herself rather than be caught by them.

But....she had the pride of a warrior too how can she back down so easily? 

"Good to see you again, Princess Aria...why not come back with us? We are not here with any ill intentions we just want your cooperation. Stop with this foolishness."

"Huh...if I wanted to go back would I have run away from there. I know about all your plots. If you want to take me away then I will fight you to death."

Both the party started arguing and Lei watched them saying"Why so many useless rambles? Just start fighting. I am getting bored here!" Forgetting about his surroundings he blurted it out so loud that the swordsman was able to hear it.

"Who's there? If you have the courage then come face me. Don't hide cowardly behind a tree."

The complexion of the man changed. He pointed his blade towards Lei and this was his biggest mistake.

"Drawing your blade towards me. So you choose death over living. I guess I have no choice then."

[Execution Sword Rain]

Raising his hand towards the sky Lei summons  huge arrays from which huge swords were coming out. Even one of those swords could flatten an entire nation. 

The energy radiating from those arrays was so terrifying that the surroundings began shaking. In just a few seconds the whole sky got covered with golden arrays.

No one dared to move. Even if they had magic in their world they didn't see something so bizzare. A skill...that contained the power of Gods....

"Stop! stop! stop!"

The girl cried and ran towards the swordsman, stood in front of him and guarded him, trying to say"Please don't hurt them."

What! I thought she was in danger, never mind I should not involve myself in  mortals affair. 

"Break!"

"Looks like I misunderstood something. How embarrassing. Forgive me I will take my leave now."

"Wait please.....sorry not telling you earlier but would you kindly listen to my story?"

"I don't have anything to do anyway let's just hear your story. But....before that let's have some food, I am starving you know." 

"No...no... we can't let "Mister" give away his share to us. And I am not hu...

Grumble! Growl...

"Ah! it is so embarrassing."

"Looks like your stomach is more honest than you."

Hahahaha! 

With this everyone began laughing but this laugh didn't last long.

"Here this is the beast I hunted."

Thud!

Throws the cockatrice to the ground...

"Young la.....er I mean sir did you really hunt this beast alone?"

"Yes, well it was attacking me so I had no choice."

"And so by beast, you meant "Cockatrice" the mythical beast. "

"Is it not tasty? I thought since it looked like a rooster so it should be tasty."

Everyone except for Lei was stupified. Even Aria was dumbfounded seeing this sight.

"Did you know several S-ranked adventures were being prepared by our kingdom to slay this beast but now it died even before subjugation?"

"Sir, are you a sage by any chance?"

Aria asked with curiosity filled eyes and other knights also got interested in his identity."

"Sage....yes you can say I am one but don't reveal to anyone about this incident."I don't know if there are people powerful enough to face me but I will still lay low.

"Don't worry this incident will go down with our grave",the swordsman pledges pridefully.

"Good to hear that; now tell me about what happened earlier while Aria and other knights roast the meat."

"Before that let me introduce myself I am Nithral Dumeires the royal guard of Dawnless Family. It's not that typical of a story. Princess Aria...want to be an adventurer so she left the house with a letter. When king and queen came to know this....they ordered us to bring back princess."

"So they are very strict royalties?"

Sigh*

Nithral with a depressed look sighed and said" No the king and queen are very lenient but it is our Princess who is troublesome."

"Why! what can a girl like her do?"

"She is very very....clumsy. She always keeps on tripping while swinging swords and running.....cooking is what she is good at but she wants to be a knight, they are too afraid to leave her alone. Even I am worried about leaving on her own."

So all those wounds.....ah I understand how shameful of me.

The image he had of her from before completely broke...

"Well since you are so strong why not join us we can give you all facility."

"No need"

Straight rejection...

Nithral determined to take help from him, so he offers him the last deal

"Why not become an adventurer then?" 

"Our miss would be able to fulfil her dream with your help. For this favour, we will help you with anything possible."

"Adventurer.....sounds interesting, sure I will give it a thought."

By the sound of it, I think it is closer to a warrior without any sect.

The food was tasty, so mortals used to eat these things. I only just survived with a pill. They finally left and gave me few gold and silver coins. Since they have left I should continue meditating. I wonder how would be the life of an adventurer.

Wang Lei on the first day of his arrival made many friends and has now found a goal for himself even though temporary. What more surprises are there for him and who transmigrated him to this world? For what purpose? Still remains a mystery.
