Chapter 5 Berserk Stronghold Guild

The guild was located at the centre of the town with its blazing logo. No one could miss the logo. Tsuoma and the Dragon Party entered into the guild seeing many people. “They are still here, I thought they went on a mission.“ Natael said pointing to a set of seven young men huddled together. “Hey, Natael, seems we finished earlier than you.“ One of the boys said upon seeing Natael and came to meet him. “Ooh, you brought guests, will they join your party to make it a complete party, i am sure you have bribed them to accept, knowing you have to have seven members inorder to go on D class missions like we do, you are on E class missions, why are you not satisfied, I assure you, D class missions are difficult, now you bring them to the guild to be registered. Am I right or right?“

Tsuoma looked at the party seeing them angry. He decided to check the status of the boys in the party.

The name of the party was Salamander Party. The leader who was talking to Natael had just few things superior to Natael. But the shocking thing was that they were brothers.

So fast before he could blink, a punch had touched his face sending him moving back with speed smashing every desk he came across. “I thought I held back a bit but I must have overdone it.“ Tsuoma said as his hand brought out smoke. The entire guild stopped what they were doing as the spectacle before them was shocking.

The members of the Salamander Party looked at their boss barely seeing him from all the debris all over him. One of them came to his senses and ran the long distance to get the groaning mass on the floor. He was disoriented as small birds flew over his head.

“What the hell just happened?“ Karis Jamus, the sword mage asked in shock.“ “Sadeo sword technique, swordless.“ Karis was shocked. He used a sword skill.

“We decided to follow him, we are not his party members, we only followed to find the guild and he is a great leader and fighter. Don't mock him, i will not have it.“ Tsuoma said angrily.

“Let's be civil here, we might be berserkers, but we must abide by the rules.“ A female elf said coming in between Tsuoma and Coron. Tsuoma checked her stats.

Things were really getting interesting around here. He remembered he hadn't seen Teruki's stats and he decided to check but he was cut short as he felt a strong presence whose aura was domineering. Many of the parties in the guild including the Dragon Party were forced to their knees, infact all of them except Tsuoma and Teruki.

A man came down from a staircase, black aura revolving around him, following him was a Kitsune with six tails. He wondered how a Kitsune could be in this world and also why wasn't she affected by the evil aura coming out of him and he checked their stats. He started with the fox woman.

Tsuoma eyes glowed in shock. So this was the strongest individual in the guild.He was higher than Tsuoma in everything. He wondered if the Kitsune was the second strongest. He would have to train harder to become the strongest. Then he remembered the goddess.

“Hey goddess, are you still in my mind, you have been silent for a long time.“ “It's just that everything is boring, why don't they accept you already, i can't remain cramped as a soul in your body you know.“ The goddess replied bored. Tsuoma chuckled and looked at the guild master. He realized the menacing aura was gone and everyone looking at he and Teruki in shock. “Well, we survived his domineering aura.“

The Kitsune looked at Tsuoma and smirked. Her tails went back in. The guild master came to meet Tsuoma. “I haven't seen him get a good thrashing, though violence is not allowed in here, stranger.“ “He got on my nerves, am sorry, owner.“ Tsuoma said sarcastically.

The guild master looked hard at Tsuoma who didn't feel intimidated. “Uhm, you look promising, my name is Armand Auren, I am a vampire and the owner of this guild which has thirty parties, with me is a Kitsune, her name is Jiyoki Kyrsaku. You must be new here, fine I will pardon the misconduct if you go and kill a basilisk, mind you it's a C level beast, but you should be able to defeat it right, Tsuoma.“ Tsuoma was shocked and quickly drew his sword. “How did you know my name?“ “Come on little one, I have the appraisal eyes but I can only see name and rank and you are rank b.“ Tsuoma grated his teeth angrily. “Anyway, since you have no party yet, you will be included in Dragons Party and Jiyoki will follow you there, she knows the location of the basilisk. For now go and settle down, you will return here by dawn tomorrow, I expect you will be ready.“ And just like that he was gone. Tsuoma looked away angrily and marched to the door. “I will kill him one day, he'd better watch his back, what are you looking at Teruki?“ ”Don't go berserk on me now Tsuoma.“ Teruki giggled as the both of them walked out of the guild. “So this is the Berserk Stronghold Guild. The boss sure looks like a berserker.“ Tsuoma said chuckling.

Meanwhile in Straterfall kingdom. In a building recognised as a palace. The princess is seen seated on a throne with guards by her sides. “Damn that empress, after killing my father she thinks I will just give up. It means she doesn't know me yet. But still why did the summoning go wrong. Unknown to her, time had frozen and the goddess was looking at her. “My child, Emile.“ Princess Emile jerked in shock and finally looked at her surroundings. The goddess wanted to speak to her alone. “Speak, your servant listens.“

“The hero is alive and well, he is here in this world but far away from where you are. He is in Luby.

“One of the cities of the evil empress. If she finds out..“ “Do not worry, I shall watch over him, and tell Agnolia about this.“ “Wait goddess.“ “It's ok Emile, she will find them.“ Them?“ The goddess faded away and everything returned to normal. “Guards, one of you should go and send for Agnolia the supreme mage. Tell her I seek her presence immediately, and also tell her it's a matter of emergency.“ “Yes princess, I go to deliver the message.“ One of the guards said and ran out of the palace. “It's time to get our hero, wait she said them, I wonder what's going on with the heroes. Please be safe “

A drop of water dripped on Tsuoma's new armour. “Damn, I just bought that.“ He groaned and the cave began to rumble. “Shit, I made a noise.“ More of the drops of water began to fall on the party. “This is not water, it's drool. Suddenly animal sounds were heard but abruptly they became quiet. Smashing sounds were heard alongside slithering noise.

“The basilisk is coming, we must not let it see us.“ Tsuoma said looking around for somewhere to hide. “What do we do, it's gaze can turn us to stone, where can we hide.“ Jiyoki said and this got Tsuoma angry. “You are the most powerful among us, why don't you find a way uh.“ He said glaring at her. She glared back and Tsuoma looked away. “Fine, just ignore us, you blasted creature, I never liked your kind anyway.“

He calmed himself. “Tsuoma..“ “Not now Sigrid.“

He roved around his stats and chose Light Magic Spells. He chose a small spell which made them invisible, except the Kitsune. “Tsuoma, let her join us.“ Teruki said appealingly as the basilisk sound drew near. He sighed, he couldn't say no to Teruki. He pointed to Jiyoki and a white glow covered her rendering her invisible. The basilisk came and didn't see anyone, it growled angrily. Tsuoma checked it's stats.

The Basilisk may be strong but it's stamina was poor, if they could get it to use up its stamina, they stood a little chance as it wouldn't be able to see well. No, that was a problem, the strength could help it and he decided to go with his new spell, it took 20 from his strength and 30 from his stamina and 10 from his mana. “Light Magic. Judgement Blast.“ A massive beam of light appeared and blasted the basilisk, the blast continued, destroying everything in the cave as it began to crack. “Sasha.“ She ran to the basilisk which was already dead and conjured a sword which she used to slash off its head. She touched it and stored it with her magic. They ran out of the cave as it began to collapse. They were able to get out before it fully collapsed. “Woohoo that was a close one.“ Jiyoki said sighing.

“You didn't even do anything you cunny vixen. She growled directly in his face, her eyes changing.

“Can we not fight now please, we have gotten what we came here for, can we go.“ Teruki said as she stood between the two who were glaring daggers at each other.

The remaining party members laughed loudly. They began to move back home when the place they were became dark. “No! The evil empress, it's her.“ Jiyoki said suddenly afraid as she shivered.

The party members stood rooted on the spot as a black smoke came to them and from the smoke, a woman appeared with a crown on her head smiling at them evilly and menacingly. “Hello kids, you probably know me.”
