As the laughter continued to fill the store, Michael's determination grew stronger. He knew his card had money on it, and he was not about to let their insults go unanswered.

"Excuse me, but I think there might be a mistake," Michael said, his voice steady and determined. "I have more than enough funds on this card to pay for the necklace."

The salespeople scoffed. "Oh, really? And where exactly did you get all this money from, sir?" the counter retorted sarcastically.

Michael remained calm, knowing that he had the power to prove them wrong. "That's none of your concern," he said firmly. "I assure you, the money is there. Please check again."

The counter reluctantly took the card and swiped it once more. To everyone's astonishment, the machine made a different sound this time – a sound that signified a successful transaction.
