Ynes turned to Irene with a frown.

"What am I doing here? What do you mean by that question?"

"Of course you know it's a question. You're in Boston Hill's taking care of the family business and spending money as you want. I wonder why you would come here."

Marcus raised his hand, asking Irene to stop talking. After that, he turned to Ynes.

"Who's this?" he asked, his eyes flickering towards Oliver before settling on Ynes.

"This is my friend Oliver," Ynes replied, hoping to keep things cordial.

But Irene couldn't resist making a snide comment. "He looks more like a homeless guy you picked up off the street," she sneered, her eyes raking over Oliver's shabby clothes.

Oliver frowned in anger, he was about to reply when Ynes spoke.

"I didn't come here to quarrel with you, Irene," Ynes said, her voice sharp with anger. "I came here to see my sick grandmother. So, if you don't mind, I'd appreciate it if you could put your hostility aside for now and focus on what's important.
