Chapter 6

Oliver, whose back was facing Ynes, turned and asked, "Miss Ynes, are you the owner here?"

Ynes was shocked to see Oliver, the guy who got into a heated argument with her bodyguard a few minutes ago.

"Yes, I’m the owner here," Ynes replied shortly.

The Empire Hotel was one of the properties of the Larking family, and Ynes was the one in charge.

"I came here to book a suite, but your staff wouldn’t allow me; why is it so?" Oliver asked with a stern expression.

Oliver then explained everything that had happened to Ynes.

Ynes was furious; she never looked down on people and didn’t expect her staff to do so.

She took a yellow card from her bag and handed it to Oliver.

"I’m really sorry for my staff’s behavior; this is our membership card."

"You can stay here whenever you want without paying."

Oliver wanted to reject the membership card; he had enough money to pay for all his lodgings, but after giving it a second thought, he decided not to embarrass her.

He was taken aback when he entered his chosen suite, which, while not a presidential suite, was of the highest quality.

Oliver felt happy, this was the first time in many years he was going to have a good bed and room to sleep in.

He took his phone and tried sending a text message to Zelda, telling her about his now endless wealth, but after thinking of her affair with Alex, he deleted the message.

At the same time at the Ellison’s manor, Zelda was standing on the terrace wearing her blue nightgown, which couldn’t hide her alluring figure.

She looked worried as she kept staring at her phone from time to time. It’s been two hours since Oliver left the manor but hasn’t returned.

Abigail joined Zelda on the rooftop.

"Mom, do you think Oliver would return?" Zelda asked impatiently after seeing Abigail.

Hearing her daughter mention Oliver, Abigail was annoyed.

"Zelda, why are you worried about that deadbeat follow?" She asked, coldly.

"Mom, Oliver left the house after our argument. "What if he goes to sleep under the bridge and is harmed by those bad guys on the street?"

"Oliver left himself; we didn’t drive him out, right?" Abigail replied.

"Mom, it’s my fault."

"I only went out with Alex because you insisted, but he thought I was having a secret affair with him."

"Zelda!" Abigail stomped on her foot. "Don’t tell me you’ve fallen in love with that good-for-nothing fellow."

"Uh, uhm, mom, what are you saying?" "I'm not in love." Zelda replied in an embarrassed tone.

Hearing her reply, Abigail smiled and said,

"Try not to stress; I'll acquaint you with someone rich later. " "You should concentrate on your mother's words and ignore him; you're the most beautiful person in Boston Hills and all of Canada; do you have any idea how many men would give their lives to marry you?" Alex is also rich and loves you very much.

At the point when Abigail left the room, she was exceptionally cheerful. "At last, I've disposed of that futile, useless son-in-law," she mumbled.

After Abigail had left, Zelda couldn’t control the tears she had been holding back.

Streams of tears run swiftly across her cheeks.

"Oliver, it can’t be that you’re gone and won’t return again, right?" The tears in her eyes couldn’t stop flowing.

She wanted to call him, but not wanting to accept the fact that she had fallen in love with the man whom she was forced to marry prevented her from doing so.
