"That's obvious. From the Supreme God!"

"Who's the Supreme God, again?" I scratched my head, not listening. She's so lively as ever. We are chatting in the middle of the day looking for any clues to reunite with Morning Dew or if he changed his name just as I am. I want to make haste for us to go back to our village. Wait, how can we even escape from this place, anyway? I furrowed my brows worrying about it.

"The Supreme God of Creation. God Noir? Are you even listening, master?" showing annoyance, she let out a very high pitched childish voice again then drifted away.

No taller than my hand, this winged pixie kept on flying restlessly. She said she can transform into her humanoid form or turn invisible if I like but that would be a problem. I mean, she can just stay the way she is. I don't mind. Anyway, I didn't listen to everything she explained. The advent of this world is something different from what the book I studied which Sir Lyol brought which drew discomfort to my head. I don't think Sprigg will stop spewing knowledge once she learns about it anyway, which makes her like a living library to me, though.

I also asked her about the other person who came along with me since she's an all-knowing pixie because my original priority is to look for my friend but she said that all the knowledge she has is only related to me after she hatched or if she can appraise it presently, prior circumstances are not relevant to her assisting my well-being. Yes. That sounds precisely like her saying strange things.

"You should also learn that conjuring your magic power is like how you thought of transferring the water to the goblet", she said while walking to each house I haven't visited yet. I might have missed something important after completing everything inside the castle. She still kept lecturing me on how to use my magic. Naturally, I would've been practising it but I am worried about my friend not showing up after all that occurred. I don't want to think about any dangers yet, as I have survived the forest with strange beasts before. It's unlikely he will not survive that as well.

"Easy for you to say, you already know how to do it the moment you are born!" I argued.

"I expect nothing less from you, master. Let's try it again, then. Shall we?" she insisted with her magic teachings.

She said magic should have a solid base in reality, like how you perceive things are real and use it to shape various objects and entities from magic. Typically, when mages forge a new magical effect and bestow the new spell an incantation, a wand or grimoire is needed. A magic item then transforms the magic energy to the spell according to its incantation and to create a particular spell, one should have the essential magic energy and ingredients to fulfil it. However, certain spells are also created to erase, destruct, or negate a spell which is on an advanced scale.

"That's where I come in. You need not a grimoire or a wand to perform such trivial task", slightly bowing her head as if doing a little curtsy and then she added, "given that we are connected, I can regulate the flow of your magic energy according to your emotions and assign the necessary magic power for you to create your magic, master. You only need to make sure that you perceive the magic you are creating clearly to shape it."

Creating multiple spells or magic may demand more power to sustain it and I still need to visualize my magic energy to manifest while conjuring the spells I wish to create at the same time. Honestly, this is draining me. I should have known that learning magic is not just like taking the yield of branches in the woodland. How vexing. What I really desire to accomplish now is to retire in bed after searching the entire second wall houses. Even while dozing, she keeps on enlightening me on the other types of magic.

"Normally, humans are only bound to one type of magic. Conjuring different classes of magic vary from the complexity and the wielder's magic energy. Thus, it's not an easy feat but is not impossible as well." playing on the splashing water droplets on the nearby fountain, I sat near the lamp post to rest, exiting to the first wall.

"Choosing from divination, incantations, alchemy, sorcery, spirit mediation, and necromancy must suggest that an individual is required to dedicate his life to some extent to prove its worth to the entities governing them" she added.

"Say, what is your magical aptitude?"

Leaning on the lamp post while drizzled by the fine drops of water under the midday sun, I hear her grumbled words since she's speaking using her mouth again. I should express my gratitude to the gods for making a water fountain in this area, letting her play in the water made me drowse off my exhaustion in using magic and searching this entire place. In spite of everything, I probably want to just take a rest, sleep for an hour, and hope that I can escape this place together with Morning Dew alive.

...

Oh, uh…

Huh!? I figured I was going to sleep in the square, but I suppose that's really not the case. I wonder where I'm right now?

Steadily trudging on an eerie dim place in this deep strange area full of a variety of terror-looking statues kneeling on the pillars rallying probably about one length from one end of my arms, 9 individuals are genuflecting in front of the same luxurious King which came out from the very door I saw on that stark vast room patting the head of the white-winged spirit.

I thought that I am still in the first wall's public square but this place suggests otherwise. I sneakily gain distance, hiding on each pillar as I get nearer. I slowly tilted my head to look for Sprigg to guide me where we should run from one aisle to the next, however, she's not here for some reasons. It's unbelievable for her to just fly away just because one of them is Kalpea, The Queen of Fairies.

Different from the pureness of Kalpea's remarkable transparent white atmosphere that seems to surround her entire body, the other individual on her right side exudes a gloomy and heinous atmosphere similar to the rain clouds that contradicts her emanation. If she is revered as the Queen of Life, I reckon that's the ruler of the Abyss.

What an odd pair.

A Queen and King that kneels before another King. At the back of them are the seven individuals that seem to be inferior from Kalpea and the other guy, kneeling in the presence before the King with grand and gorgeous embroideries sitting in a luxurious and incredible golden throne staring at them blankly.

Looking at their back I can see that they are distinguished by the atmosphere they radiate. Well, the fiery-red one looks like a full-grown dragon bowing its long and spiky head, the solid-orange one seems like a normal lady except that she has horns pointing upward and a long tail that is kept in her waist, the yellow one appears to be a guy that has a broad torso covered with thick hair.

The green and the deep rich colour close to the colour blue has pointy ears except that the former has a broad torso too and appears to be a kid, and the latter is a taller and sophisticated lady. The blue one next to the green kid looks like a lady with an ear of merfolk in the book with wavy hairs, and the last purplish-blue one is a lady with gracefully colourful and massive wings. I believe Sprigg mentioned them before and calls them the 7 Faes.

Shortly after the King stood up from his throne, they attentively got up in front of him as well with stiff expressions on their faces except for the dragon that seems to just bend its knee.

The lady that has an ear of merfolk spoke angrily, "Rouge, don't display your primal form before the Supreme God. Show respect at once!"

"Showing one's original form is the best way to show how I revered the God who created us, Azul. Unbeknownst to your juvenile method of showing respect, this is how we shall deliver our veneration to the Almighty Father." says the dragon who turns its head to the lady with blue atmosphere, "It is beyond belief how you all stay on your humanoid form, despite being created differently at the first place" she added.

The person who oozed a dark and heavy atmosphere turned his body to the people arguing showing its nonexistent face and said, "Alright, that's enough! I hope your nonsense discussion comes to an end now. You're showing exactly the portrayal of disgrace, you two" then turns to the King in front of them. "Please forgive them, Almighty Father."

Kalpea, not moving an inch since everyone is having an argument then moved one step and said, "allow me to punish these fools not showing the respect you deserve, Father" then giggled harshly.

"Kal, Quit it. It's fine!" says the King, walking closer to her patting her head. "But, Father! They..." she argued but not letting her continue he said, "It's fine". He stopped patting her head, then walked towards the large jet black floating box and returned to the throne sitting courtly facing everyone with a calm and appealing face once again, as if not paying attention to the people arguing before.

The moment he sat down, the edge of the floating box lit with incandescent glints of flickers pushing inward forming 7 cubes with different colours. The cube then separates from the huge jet black box hovers towards the seven existence behind Kalpea.

"Protect that artefacts will all of your might!"

And then I suddenly felt Sprigg shaking my ear cruelly.

The elderly Archmage swiftly declared his purpose as they bowed slightly to show respect before proceeding to the small tent."Your Majesty," he whispered discreetly. "The offenders are on their way." The elderly appear to be delighted with what must be done with these pathetic people."Hmm. You appear to be pleased." The King flashed a smile. "Excellent." A massive flood of black, tainted fog then attempted to envelop the whole throne hall. As it waded through every nook and corner, it liberated itself. From the perspective of a master, this is a daring and intelligent action. However, it was halted by an unknown force at the huge wooden door where the lovely lady and the young man were. It ceased dispersing as if it had chosen at random not to follow its conjurer.

Alas, he remembered reading a rhetorical study determining the unpredictable difficulty of any magical caster that holds such an enormous amount of power can also be explained by their emotions fueling their earnest magic; just like how they should be treated with caution and why must never be trifled with. Emotions are dangerous indeed, he thought at that time. “Aumier..” That, however, is not what is happening. ††† The Professor shared several stories, one after the other, and they all finished the same way. It was quite meaningless without the young man on the tier of Archmage who piqued his curiosity. This is only because the young man doesn't even want to ask questions about the story, and it is very awkward for him to go along with it. However one thing is certain: every now and then, he casts a look at Eschel, the young wizard the Professor claims to be his nephew as he tells his lived experiences. Nevertheless, Lemure who took precautions seems to be no longer on guard. “That’s after the fall of the Kingdom of Arcania, right?” The young wizard spoke enthusiastically to corroborate the story he had been giving attention to from the Professor ever since. He absolutely adored the deliberate manner in which this story was told. For a man to overcome his flaws and live through the ashes beneath his feet.
