After twenty three minutes of killing the Argonaut demons around him, Dula has finally dispersed the large horde into a small handful of beasts that are currently retreating away from the position back into their plains. With a blood covered body, she shouted at the top of his lungs and in celebration of his victory as he walks back to the edge of he lava zone where the shadow assassins were waiting for the right opportunity to follow the rare clouds of meteors that pass and sometimes even more rare than there passing, they fall onto the mountain ranges beyond the lava zone. “That was an incredible fight alright, but I know you guys are still rookies in the desert so here is a little piece of advice. Right now we have about twenty minutes to get the hell out of here, these Argonaut demons may look like they were running from me after I have killed hundreds of them but that is not true at all. The beasts in the wild have a sense of danger that is unparalleled to that of any living th
For the next seven hours, Astra and Claria sat in the resting area of the cube shaped vehicle as it slowly approaches the end of the desert where their next step of the journey awaits them. Throughout their stay in the resting center of the vehicle, they mostly stare at one another awkwardly, not knowing what to say to each other and barely overcoming the fact that they almost killed each other not too many hours ago. With a little bit of courage and wit, Claria managed to ask. “So what is it like in Terra? I know this is so sudden but what is it like growing up there, with the vastness of water bodies that the planet has?” With an expressionless face, Astra turned around and looked at the soldier seated next tom her in tattered stealth uniform and an inquisitive look in her face. “Are you for real? You mean to tell me that your entire civilization is about to migrate to a planet four and a half light years away and even top ranking soldiers like you have not been briefed about wha
The alien from the tower has just appeared in the presidential meeting hall in base zero and Carter is standing right next to him on the podium. He immediately reached for his HELL- blade and realized that it is not there at the moment. ‘Shit, I left it in my room when I was coming out, but come to think of it. How the hell did this alien bastard get all the way here? Did he teleport here? I can assume that he did since they themselves teleported here from where they came from. If that is the case, then I am more interested in why he is here.” Carter thought. At this moment, the emerald ghost squads have been mobilized and surrounded the meeting hall. Elena, Khan, Rhoda, Jamie, and all of the rest of the core members of the squad immediately broke into the meeting hall with their HELL-blades blazing hot. The alien, which has been standing in the middle of the room, finally turned around and looked in the direction of the squad, “Hahahahaha! Finally, someone strong enough for me to
From above them, a long vine with hundreds of needle sharp spikes swing itself down in their direction, as Astra studies it, she noticed that it was long enough to reach them from the roof of the forest and although it was covered in spikes that can skewer a person if they hit them; she noticed an even bigger thing about the vines she should watch out for. Each of them stood in place and watched the vine miss them. The tip of the vine is accumulated into a thick round ball shaped structure that both carry much of the vine’s weight and help it gain momentum when it swings. “So this is more a wrecking ball trap than an actual spike trap, but the wrecking balls at the end of the vines are also covered with the spikes as well.” Astra said to herself. She threw one of her swords and hit the bulb on the vine, cutting it open and making the sliced half fall on the floor and the vines to splatter a fluid on the floor as well. A foul smell immediately covered the entire place and Astra could
Astra slowly opened her eyes to the beating of drums and a chorus humming of people surrounding her. She tried to recall what happened last before she passed out and Adriel came to her mind. ‘That is right, I was with Adriel and the guard Claria, we went past the forest fighting the venomous apes and I used an aether blast to clear a way for us but I was bitten by a flying severed ape head. But where am I? We were in the canyon or something last I checked. What is that sound?’ Astra murmured to herself and tried to roll around but was met with a pain unlike she has ever felt in her life. As the pain surges from her arm, through her neck and all the way down her spine, she let out a loud grunt that made all of the persons humming around her to stop for a second, maintained the silence for a while before bursting into loud chants in a language she has never heard of before. With a fresh sweat breaking on her forehead, Astra turned her head and realized that she was bound hands and leg
Astra open her eyes once again and found herself in yet again another unfamiliar place. They have covered her entire hand in what looks like a green paste of plant leaves and stem. The first thing she noticed was that her pain has subsided to almost none. She could no longer feel the throbbing headache that was making her dizzy before and she could feel all of the fingers on her right arm, which were numb before. Immediately she stood up, the two men from before walked into the room and stood before her. She immediately took a fight stance that made the two of them immediately take some steps back and raised both hands with fists in position for blocking her attacks. Astra immediately stood back up properly and the two men started laughing hysterically at her, each of shaking his head and talking in a language she still has no idea what they are saying. They each put a bright smile on their faces and approached her with an arm in a gesture to show her that they were not there to hu
Some hours earlier, house Estelona’s five shadow assassins have crossed the desert and arrived at the forest, as usual they kept their caution and staying hidden in the shadows as they move, they followed Adriel’s location using their tracking device. Knowing fully well that Dula the barbarian is not the cooperative type of soldier, although they know fully well that he is very familiar with the abandoned plains of Centauri, they did not waste their time to wait for him and proceeded with their mission even without meeting him at the edge of the forest as they have agreed in the mountain ranges. “They are about to cross the forest into the great pyramidal plain. There is no sign of the barbarian so we will keep moving after the prince. There are numerous dangers in the forest including the venomous apes, stay sharp and hide as much of your presence as you can, let’s go!” the red reaper said as he warps into the shadows of the trees and surrounding plants. The five of them begin to m
“If that is the case, we need to chase after your friend immediately because the shadow assassins of the Estelona house would be catching up to his party very soon!” Dula said as they climb out of the cavern whose room Astra has blown off just a couple of minutes earlier. He pulled out a large horn from his dimensional ring and placed the slimmer tip of the horn in his mouth. With a long gasp of air, he blew the horn so loud that the entire forest echoed the sound of the horn. Dula placed the horn down and made some scribbling on the ground with a dagger and placed a burning torch near the place. “This is so my people will know what is going on. I have also given the elders the directives to start preparing for the day we will need to migrate when the time is ripe.” He said. Astra turned around and looked at him. “Ask them to harvest all the emerald crystals in the nest. There may be larger ones underneath the floor of the cavern as well. Ask them to dig well and pack as much of the
