Chapter 8: Awkward Steve

When Steve heard Louis say that, his throat choked, and he couldn't say anything more. Louis was not caught proving that the card belonged to Louis.

But even if he knows that, so what? He still wants to smear Louis. As long as Louis is upset, it's okay.

The clerk on the side heard Steve say that and frowned.

She was enthusiastic about Louis because she saw the sales personally bowing to Louis at the menswear store. Indeed, Louis is more straightforward and poor than in the words of the other guest.

She would not interfere in the client's business even though she thought she didn't say anything. As a salesperson, she didn't need to offend any customers. She needs to do her job well.

Judy on the side also laughed and said, "He probably doesn't know how expensive the items here are."

When Steve heard that, he burst out laughing. At this moment, Louis' voice came: "I want the most expensive and most beautiful dress on display in the shop."

When the salesman heard that, her eyes widened. That dress was so expensive that it was only on display until now. It is also considered the symbol of this store; the price is costly. She couldn't help but again confirm: "Are you telling the truth?"

Before Louis could nod, Steve shouted: "How can that be true?! Don't be fooled by him; he's just a poor guy. How can he have money to buy such an expensive dress? He's a troublemaker."

Judy also added: "Yes, he loved me before. I like this dress, but he can't afford it. What is he buying now? He's trying to cause trouble."

When the staff heard Steve say that, his face was awkward. She glanced at Louis, but Louis looked at Judy and said, "Let's say I didn't have the money to buy you this dress then. But do you feel that a dirty person who betrayed my feelings is worthy of that gorgeous dress? I'm afraid you'll get it dirty."

Judy couldn't believe Louis would say that. She was so angry that she was speechless.

And Steve on the side also frowned when he heard that; just when he was about to curse, Louis suddenly looked at him and smiled sarcastically: "Need you, Steve, if you think I can't buy this dress, will you buy it? Your girlfriend seems to like it."

Steve heard Louis say that, and his whole body stiffened. Judy couldn't see his face again; she happily said: "Yes Steve, I like that dress. My darling will buy it for me, won't you?"

Steve is speechless; he wants Judy out of the store immediately. That dress was too expensive for him.

Although he has money, it is not so much that he can buy such a dress for his girlfriend.

Louis saw Steve hesitate to say anything, then smiled scornfully and said, "What's wrong? Can't you buy it? Then you should shut up." Then Louis turned to the clerk and said, "Pack that dress for me; swipe the card."

Louis gave the card to the clerk. The salesman was also slightly surprised and did not expect Louis to be so decisive. If Louis buys this dress, she will make a big profit! She quickly ran to get the machine to swipe the card.

Check ticks, familiar sounds are heard, and invoices are printed. Louis bought the rarest and most expensive dress in this store!

Steve and Judy couldn't believe their eyes widened.

Especially, Judy doesn't know how she feels right now. When they recovered, Louis was respectfully sent off by the salesman. The salesman's face was as happy as if she had seen a god.

Then she turned her head to look at them; although she was still very respectful on the outside, her voice was still slightly sarcastic: "I wonder if you two have found something you like?"

Steve's face was unsightly. Of course, he couldn't be too embarrassed, immediately turned his head to look at Judy and said: "I originally wanted to buy that dress for you, but bastard Louis bought it. Now let's buy the second expensive dress in the store!"

Judy was overjoyed to hear that. She rushed to find the second most expensive dress in the shop. Steve just felt so pointless. This money was supposed to be used to buy Scarlet's birthday present.

All because Judy didn't know. He thinks after this, and he'll get rid of Judy soon. After all, she was just a toy to him.

Louis saw Judy's stupid appearance and Steve's money regret looking through the window and couldn't help but laugh a bit before leaving. He wanted to go back to his motel room to arrange some things.

Louis went home to shower and change clothes before returning to his room. He remembers that he rushed home to confirm everything with his father early in the morning before he had time to clean his room.

His roommate is nice; she probably doesn't like a messy house either. Louis thought so.

He quickly finished showering, accepted the gift in his hand, and took a taxi to his motel room.

When opening the door and entering the room, seeing that the room was clean and free of filth, Louis couldn't help but feel a little embarrassed.

It must have been his roommate who cleaned up for him. Maybe she thought he drank too much and didn't have the energy to clean up.

She's such a nice girl; he doesn't understand why he was so prejudiced against her before.

Louis blamed himself for a moment, then considered going into his room to rearrange the room. But at this moment, the door opened again. Elena was back.
