Eric's car pulled up to the entrance of the ESU barracks.

It was getting late and the sun was beginning to set.

No sooner had he turned his car engine down than a swarm of reporters gathered around him.

"Mr. Wood, over here! Can you tell us about the mission?" one reporter shouted while elbowing her way through the crowd to get closer.

Eric adjusted his tie, flashed a polite but weary smile. "It was a team effort. We did what we had to do," he said.

"Was there any moment you thought you wouldn't make it back?" another reporter, a young man with eager eyes, pushed forward to ask. His recorder was practically under Eric's nose.

"Every mission has its risks," Eric replied and maintained his composure. "But we trusted in our training and in each other."

A lady with a notepad in one hand and a pen in the other managed to squeeze her way to the front. "What's next for your family now, Eric? Any plans now that you've got them back?"
