CHAPTER 4

The security guards were not scared of him, Jason was no threat to them. After a few minutes, the police arrived at the building. Mrs. Miller and Danny were happy.

Jessica and James walked towards the police and pointed Jason to be the person they wanted to arrest.

“Arrest this man and make sure he rot in jail with hard labor,” James said.

“Mr. Jason Lewis, you are under arrest anything you do or say will be used against you in court.” The officer said.

Jason didn't try to fight or do anything, he stretched out his hands to the police and they handcuffed him. Jessica was shocked by his confidence, she was expecting him to plead but he didn't.

He was pushed into the back seat of the police car, and they drove off to the police station.

Jason leaned his head back on the seat as he stared at the environment through the window. The policemen were shocked at his expression; he never said anything. So they decide to ask him a question.

“What did you do?” One of the officers asked.

“You didn't know what I did and you arrested me.” He said as he curled a smile on the side of his lips.

“We were told you attacked Mr. James Patterson and you wanted to kill him. Do you know what it means, you will be sent to prison.” the second officer said.

“Do you have any proof that I wanted to kill him?” Jason retorted.

“The family of the Miller's will be his witness and you have no witness. Even if you do, do you have a Lawyer? Can you even afford one?” the officer asked.

“Can I call someone?” He said to the policeman.

“When we get to the station, you will call.” the officer said.

They finally arrived at the police station, the police alighted for the car and brought Jason out as they walked inside the station.

“Sit here,” the officer said, as he went to bring a phone to him.

“I have my phone with me,” Jason uttered politely.

“You can't use your phone. You are allowed to use this here.”

He took out the card from his pocket and dialed the number. After a few minutes. The caller picked and Jason boomed into the phone.

“Hello, I'm speaking with Robert Smith.”

“Yes, I'm Robert Smith.” Robert tried recognizing the voice but he didn't want to confuse himself.

“Who is this?” Robert said softly.

“It's Jason Lewis.”

Robert was shocked, and he quickly adjusted his voice. “Sorry young master, I didn't know it was you. I'm happy you finally called. Have you changed your mind?”

“No problem, I need your help.”

“What is it, young master? Just say it and it will be done immediately,” he asked with his voice echoing in concern.

“I have been arrested and I need you to come bail me out. Come with a lawyer.” Jason said.

Robert was angry, “What!! Where are you now, young master.”

“I'm at the police station,” he said, giving him the name of the police station before hanging up the call. The police officer took the phone from him and went inside.

“What is your name,” another officer asked. He was holding a book.

“My name is Jason Lewis.”

“Your crime is you tried to commit murder, you plotted on killing Mr. Paterson's son James.” the officer said.

“Take him inside and torture him, before sending him to prison.”

A voice was heard from behind, “You will do no such thing.”. It was Robert Smith, his father's senior butler.

Robert came as fast as possible, he wouldn't want anyone to touch his young master.

“Who are you?” one of the officers asked.

Robert brought out his identification card and showed it to the officer and he was moved back. Seeing he was from the Lewis family he became speechless as the other officers whispered amongst themselves.

“Take this thing off his hand,” Robert commanded.

They immediately removed the handcuffs from his hand, as they watched how the men in black bowed at Jason in unison.

“I'm sorry young master for coming late,” Robert said.

“You weren't late, you came on time for me,” Jason stated

Robert asked to see the District chief. The district chief ran immediately after he heard someone from the Lewis family was looking for him. He went to apologize for what his men did.

The policemen who arrested him knelt and begged him to forgive them. They were even crying because nobody hurt anyone from Lewis's family and go free, and they will face the punishment.

Jason told them to stand up, they were not his problem, his major problem was the Millers and James.

They walked out of the police station, two Rolls Royce were parked outside the building. and entered their Rolls Royce cars. They drove straight to the mansion in Greensboro.

“Young master, do you need anything,” Robert asked.

Jason shook his head sideways, signaling no.

After a long drive, they arrived at Lewis's mansion, it was huge and one of the biggest in the city. It was made of Gold.

It was different from what he left eight years ago. He noticed all the guards were bowing down as the car passed them.

“Your father, Mr. Lewis is inside waiting for you. Young master” Robert uttered.

They arrived at the front of the big mansion. They alighted from the car, all the guards bowed to him. Jason looked at them before walking into the house.

When his father saw him he rushed towards his son and engulfed him with a hug.

“Welcome home son,” he hugged him tight. as tears dripped from his eyes to his cheeks. He used his hands to wipe the tears away.

Jason never uttered a word. His father Mr. Benjamin ordered the maid to show him his room for him to freshen up.

Jason wanted some explanation but he would do that when he was ready, he was tired and hungry. When he was taken to his room, he was surprised to see a big portrait of himself hanging on the wall close to the king-size bed.

His eyes were roaming around the room, he stared at every corner of the room. During his four years at the Miller's mansion, he had to sleep on the couch while his wife Jessica would sleep on the bed.

He quickly refreshed and wore a shirt and jeans he saw in his wardrobe. He wondered how they were able to know his size.

He rushed down to the dining room where his father was sitting. He looked around to see if he would see any woman or his ex-girlfriend Sofia Clark but there was no sign of any.

“Sit down, my son.” his father said calmly with a smile on his face.

The servant bowed at him, as he walked past them to sit down. The chairs were different from the ones in the miller's house, it was soft and light.
