CHAPTER 22

Jayden visited his grandfather and was not pleased.

“He does not seem responsive to whatever treatment he is receiving here,” Jayden complained to the doctors.

“The knife stabs were almost close to his chest. This is not a minor case. A surgery has been done because the cuts were deep. And considering his age, there is a lot to be worried about,” the doctor explained.

“But we came here because you were supposedly the best? Why fail us now?” His face was gloomy and his eyes glistening with tears.

“We have not failed yet, Mr Jayden. Lord Benjamin needs all the rest he can get for now. It only gets critical if we cannot see his heartbeat or hear his breathing. Apparently, he still breathes and moves his hands a couple of times. He is fine. He will be fine.” The doctor was trying to maintain tranquillity within the hospital as well as keep Jayden's eyes fixed on the positive.

“I need to see my grandfather.”
