CHAPTER 24

The evening has come.

The person that Jim had been waiting for since afternoon hadn’t come. He called her mobile, and she told him she was assigned a new project so she’d come late that night.

Jim’s heart skipped. He didn’t want to miss this opportunity to get rid of Anne. “Do you want me to come to your office and help you with work?”

“Stop kidding, Jim. I appreciate your intention, but you don’t have experience with this,” Rena said. “Don’t wait for me. Just eat and sleep, okay?”

“Got it,” he said in a weak voice.

Many hours later.

Rena came home as a tired woman. She was so tired she didn’t even feel like eating. She came straight to her room. When she entered the room, to her surprise, Jim was there to receive her. He closed the door and then picked her up into his arms.

“What are you doing?” she asked.

“You must be tired,” he took her to the bed. “I’ll give you the best massage of your life.”

“You know how to massage?”

“I don’t, but I’ll try,” he confidently said.
