The woman in the pink shorts came home.

Her dad, a strongly built man, was eating snacks outside in the cool evening breeze. “The watermelons are very sweet today. Come and grab some, Caylene.”

“Sure, Dad,” she sat down and ate the deseeded watermelons and loved their taste. “Yeah, they are good.”

“Tomorrow, there’s a board meeting at the company. I want you to come with me so that you’ll get an idea of how things work.”

“I’m not interested, though,” she said.

“Just come and watch. That’s all I’m asking,” he said. “I have shares in many companies, but none like the Draknor Finance. All businesses pale in front of finance. Even real estate doesn’t hold a candle to it in the long run. That’s why we must put our focus on this company so that our influence will grow in that company. The more shares we buy, the more secure our future will be.”
