“Julia…” Marc’s expression turned slightly serious. “I know the reason you came here, but… there’s nothing I can do for you. I take every penny from her, so I’m afraid I can’t help you.”

“It’s okay, Brother. I came here to talk with Lola anyway,” Julia smiled softly.

Jim could see some stress on Julia’s forehead. He couldn’t help but pity her.

About five years ago, Julia’s family was doing well. They weren’t rich, but they weren’t poor by any means. When Lola went to Julia’s home, she was short on money, so she asked for 2500 dollars from Julia so she could buy dresses for her daughters. Julia gave the money after Lola promised to return the money within a couple of months. However, Lola didn’t give the money back. Neither did she buy clothes for Rena or Shiney. Only Lola knew what she did with that money.
