CHAPTER 39

Austin brought Lola and Rena to Shrimp’s Delight, a relatively small but great restaurant known for their seafood.

Seeing Austin, a weekly customer, the manager quickly came over to greet him and escort him to one of the spacious tables with no other table nearby.

“Women first,” Austin told them to order.

“You’re the experienced customer, so we’ll trust your decision,” Lola said, and Rena agreed.

Austin smiled with content and ordered just three dishes, excluding the desserts. After the manager noted the list and left, Lola said, “I have never seen restaurant managers work like a waiter. It just shows how much the manager of this restaurant respects you.”

Austin pointed toward the painting on the wall. “I sold one of my dad’s paintings to them for a small price, so they treat me as a VIP customer.”

“Oh…” Lola just nodded.

“Isn’t your dad’s painting a bit too personal to be given away to others?” Rena asked a question which Lola felt was unnecessary.
