Jim’s sweet words melted Rena’s heart enough to give him the green signal. However, she asked him for some time to arrange the 5000 dollars.

Jim understood from her words that she probably wasn’t planning to tell her mother she needed 5000 dollars for some personal reasons. She might rather ask her friends for some money. Jim knew that this wasn’t a good move, but how could he tell her that when he was the one receiving help?

“I hope she won’t take the money for interest, but 5000 dollars isn’t a small amount. Even if we add 20% yearly interest, it will become 6000 dollars in a year. If it’s monthly, that’s even worse,” Jim thought. “If Lola learns about this, she won’t let Rena be. I have to warn Rena as soon as possible, but in a way she’ll understand it, instead of thinking I’m just being too bothersome.”
