“What happened? It felt like I was dead, and the next thing I felt was a strange force running through my veins before it gave me this sudden energy.” Vance asked Sierra who wasn’t sure of how to explain things to him, but she could see that he was very curious to know what happened.

“Lucy saved you! She used her powers to bring you back!”

“Her powers? What powers? She is just a normal Human!” Vance said, and then she turned to look at Lucy who was walking toward them with Jack right behind her, watching her closely just in case she was going to fall down or lose her balance.

“She has powers?” Vance asked with a whisper, looking at Lucy who was striding toward them, and when she turned to look at Sierra who had no explanations to give, he decided to wait for Lucy who was in a better position to explain things to him.

Eventually, Lucy stopped a few inches in front of Vance who couldn’t stop staring at her while he thought about the right question to ask her.

“Vance? Are you okay?”

Realizing that Lucy had a point, Jack quickly ran in front of Vince and spread his arms to stop him from going after Dwayne who was a few meters away from getting to him. “Out of the way, Human! This is none of your concern!” Vince said to Jack who was not ready to budge as he stood his ground, and made no attempt to leave his way. “Trust me, Vance. You don’t want to do this! Calm down! I suggest you let go of whatever is going on inside your head and focus on the mission.” “You don’t tell me what to do, Jack! Leave the way! Let me through! Elves are meant to regain their honor! He bruised my ego, and I shall regain my honor! Move!” Vince was not ready to budge, and because she was afraid that he was going to get himself killed, Sierra had to cut in at once as she was not ready to lose her brother. “Listen to him, Vance. Just let it go, okay? Let it go!” “Let it go?” Vince angrily turned to look at his sister after he had spoken with a tone laced with so much disappointment, and

“Whatever happened a while ago, I believe we can talk about it like true elves. I am sorry for what I did, and I promise never to do that again.”“Your words are not enough, Dwayne!” Vince retorted almost immediately, expressing the displeasure he had for the dark elf whose only mission was to scheme his way into their minds. “Let my actions speak for me, then. If my words are not enough to convince you of how sorry I am, then let me make it up to you.” “How? How are you going to do that?” Vince asked calmly, unable to resist the urge to satisfy his curiosity while he stared at Dwayne who sighed before giving him a response. “I promise to help you regain your place in the Royal Fortress. I know how much you want to go back to the days when you had great honor and respect, and I promise to help you regain your place among the great elves.” Vince looked at Dwayne, and he couldn’t get himself to deny the fact that he truly wanted to regain his position in the Royal Fortresses after h

Seth was already certain that Sierra was not going to help, and as soon as she walked away, he sighed heavily and looked at Vince who was still standing in front of her. “Let me have that one.” Vince slowly grabbed one of the heavy bags from Seth, making his burden lighter, and he sighed in relief. “Thank you.” Seth said to Vince who left him at once and started walking toward the direction others had gone with his weapon in one hand and the heavy brown bag in the other hand. “Come on, Seth. There could be deadly monsters in this place!” Vince said without looking at the Centaur who was startled by his words and quickly turned around nervously as though there was something coming after him. “Wait for me! Wait for me! I am coming!” Seth hurriedly went after Vince who didn’t bother to turn around or slow down even though he heard the sound of his limbs galloping toward him. “Don’t do that! It was obvious to Jack that Dwayne was trying to make fun of him, but he was only interested in the safety of himself and the others. “This is not the time, Dwayne. I need you to listen to me. Guys?” Jack turned to look at the rest of the group, and it was only Seth and Lucy who agreed to what he suggested. The three elves seemed to neglect the fact that the environment where they were walking was strange, and even the air seemed to be mixed with some kind of tension that was unexplainable. “Humans, always looking for an excuse to quit an important mission. Little wonder not many of you have been elevated to be among the council members in the city.” Sierra said with a voice laced with so much disdain while she looked at Jack who ignored her and turned to look at Vince, hoping that he was going to be more reasonable than his sister. “I am sorry, Jack. But we need to continue moving. There is no time, and I would not want to lose my chances of laying my hands on all the beautiful t

The rest of the crew joined him almost immediately, spreading themselves across different corners of the Greenland in order to escape from the creatures that were swooping in on them from the sky. “I knew it! I shouldn't have come to this adventure! This was a mistake!” Seth cried out aloud as he galloped from one point to another, unable to make up his mind about the actual direction he was to run. Sooner than they expected, the creatures got really closer, and from the sight Jack made when he looked up in the sky, there were about fifteen of those blood-thirsty huge creatures ready to devour them. “They are getting closer! What do we do? What do we do?” Sierra asked anxiously, looking up at the sky, and unable to make a decision about the the particular direction she was supposed to run to. “I think we should hide behind the trees! Everyone, the trees! Go for the trees!” Jack said loudly, running toward one of the huge trees, and almost immediately, the others joined him, runnin

“Hang on, Sierra!” Vince said as soon as he ran out from his hiding place behind one of the trees, and instantly, he twisted the ring attached to his spear, making it glow brightly before he started to run toward the direction the creature was flying while still holding onto his sister whose legs were dangling in the air. “Hurry! Hurry, Vince! Hurry up!” “I am coming!” Vince increased the speed of his legs, and after a while, he jumped really high with the help of the spear before he dashed into the air, and grabbed the creature on its tail. “Vince! Hurry! Get me away from this ugly thing!” “I am trying, okay? Just hang in there!” Vince tightened his grip on the creature’s leg, and when he was sure that he was balanced, he plunged his spear into the belly of the creature, it let out a loud cry which made it let go of Sierra who fell instantly to the ground, and grunted as soon as her body touched the Greenland. “You are welcome!” Vince grunted as he held onto the tail of the crea

I knew that this was a bad idea!” “Well, we are here already. Maybe you can try focusing on the best action to take so that we can leave this place alive rather than regretting the decision you have already taken!”Vince retorted while holding onto his spear firmly his eyes staring keenly at the creature. A few seconds later, he pulled out his energy blade and got ready to attack the screecher which turned to look at him, and growled angrily. Realizing that he had succeeded in getting the attention of the creature, Jack decided that he was going to lure it away from Lucy, and then he started to run toward his left after making sure that the creature was really pissed that it distracted it from attacking Lucy who was still on the ground struggling with her breath. “Come on, come after me,” Jack said hopefully after he had taken a few steps to his left, but the creature was caught up between the two Humans, and wasn’t sure of which one of them it was going to attack first. A few seconds later, the creature decided to go with the meal that was closer, and then it returned its attention to Lucy who gasped the moment her eyes met with the fiery eyes of th

You all saw the way his body looked. I don’t think he will be able to be out there on his own. For the first time ever since they left the city for the dimension in search of the medallion, the adventurers slept like babies, with a little relief in their minds. All of a sudden, they had forgotten that they were in am area where monsters and creatures of all kinds nestled. Nothing else mattered at that time, not even the fact that they weren’t sure of how to go back. Jack was the first to wake up at the first flicker of dawn. He blinked his eyelids several times to get rid of the weakness that tried to shut his eyes just before he stretched and yawned, pushing himself up while he groaned loudly. He could see that the sun was shining brightly, but the strange color of the dimension still remained the same, different from that of Earth. Right beside him was Lucy who was still sound asleep, enjoying the cool breeze that perched on her face. She smiled while she was fast asleep, and Jack could tell that she was having the most amazing dream.

“Guys? None of you is saying anything! You can’t just keep quiet about this, whatever decision we are making, I think we need to make it together.” Jack said calmly while he looked at Lucy whose eyes were saying more words than her mouth at that time. He could see from the look in her eyes that she wanted him to pass judgment that would be very easy for him to endure. She was even willing to let go and hoped that everyone was going to agree with her even though she knew that it was going to be very difficult, especially with Sierra involved. Lucy was the most compassionate among all the adventurers, she was merciful and kind, and could easily be made to react to very emotional situations. Her eagerness to react to such things made her the weakest link to them, and she didn’t even know about it. “I think we should let go of everything he has done to us, and move on. After all, we already have found the medallion, and it doesn’t look like we are going to

Everyone had become very silent while they looked at Jack who began to come down slowly, looking at Lord Rasmus who threatened to kill Lucy and was serious about it,. He wasn’t mincing words, and Lucy was aware of this as well. “You are wasting my time, boy! Hurry up at once, hand over the medallion, or she is dead!”“You will get the medallion! Don’t just hurt her! Don’t hurt her, okay?” Jack gestured to Lord Rasmus while he slowly came down, and the glow that covered him went off at once. The medallion fell into his hand, and he held it firmly while walking toward him. “Come on! Hand it over, now!” Lord Rasmus said imperatively while he had his eyes on the medallion, still holding onto Lucy who was still shivering under the influence of the fright that gripped her. Halfway to getting to Lord Rasmus, Jack noticed the presence of some shadowed creatures behind him, and he had to stop to be sure he wasn’t hallucinating. While Jack was still struggling to understand what was going on, he heard the sound of Lucy’s voice, and reacting to it, he turned abruptly to look at the soldiers who had gone after her, still hanging in the air.“Don’t get close to her!” He said angrily to the soldiers, but they ignored him, and grabbed Lucy at once, dragging her to Lord Rasmus while she struggled to free herself from the

At that moment, the strange sensation that engulfed Jack made him take two steps toward the tomb, but the soldiers who were focused on the tomb as well didn’t take notice of him. As the sensation became more intense, so did he increase his steps, moving gradually but with a constant pace while his eyes continued to gaze at the tomb. “Finally!” Lord Rasmus brightened his face as he approached the tomb as though his life depended on it. He got very close to it, and as soon as the soldiers moved farther away from the tomb, he reached into the tomb and grabbed the medallion with both hands, lifting it up into the air until everyone could see it. “This is the medallion?” Sierra said with a smirk on her face while she stared at the bronze medallion that was visible to every other person. She seemed a little bit disappointed at how small and ordinary the medallion, and she was almost about to regret coming on that mission for something like that. Jack saw this and wished he could make a move, but the soldiers standing close to him were already aware that he could not be overlooked and had their eyes on him. “What did you say?” “I said that they are going to raise the spirits of the dead kings! I come from a lineage of necromancers, and I know that the tombs of kings should never be desecrated in any way, no matter what. This could awaken their spirits, and they could come for retaliation.” Lucy said with a sh
