“Whatever happened a while ago, I believe we can talk about it like true elves. I am sorry for what I did, and I promise never to do that again.”

“Your words are not enough, Dwayne!” Vince retorted almost immediately, expressing the displeasure he had for the dark elf whose only mission was to scheme his way into their minds.

“Let my actions speak for me, then. If my words are not enough to convince you of how sorry I am, then let me make it up to you.”

“How? How are you going to do that?” Vince asked calmly, unable to resist the urge to satisfy his curiosity while he stared at Dwayne who sighed before giving him a response.

“I promise to help you regain your place in the Royal Fortress. I know how much you want to go back to the days when you had great honor and respect, and I promise to help you regain your place among the great elves.”

Vince looked at Dwayne, and he couldn’t get himself to deny the fact that he truly wanted to regain his position in the Royal Fortresses after h

Seth was already certain that Sierra was not going to help, and as soon as she walked away, he sighed heavily and looked at Vince who was still standing in front of her. “Let me have that one.” Vince slowly grabbed one of the heavy bags from Seth, making his burden lighter, and he sighed in relief. “Thank you.” Seth said to Vince who left him at once and started walking toward the direction others had gone with his weapon in one hand and the heavy brown bag in the other hand. “Come on, Seth. There could be deadly monsters in this place!” Vince said without looking at the Centaur who was startled by his words and quickly turned around nervously as though there was something coming after him. “Wait for me! Wait for me! I am coming!” Seth hurriedly went after Vince who didn’t bother to turn around or slow down even though he heard the sound of his limbs galloping toward him. “Don’t do that! Don’t do that again!” Seth pleaded with Vince who chuckled after he had glanced at him withou

It was obvious to Jack that Dwayne was trying to make fun of him, but he was only interested in the safety of himself and the others. “This is not the time, Dwayne. I need you to listen to me. Guys?” Jack turned to look at the rest of the group, and it was only Seth and Lucy who agreed to what he suggested. The three elves seemed to neglect the fact that the environment where they were walking was strange, and even the air seemed to be mixed with some kind of tension that was unexplainable. “Humans, always looking for an excuse to quit an important mission. Little wonder not many of you have been elevated to be among the council members in the city.” Sierra said with a voice laced with so much disdain while she looked at Jack who ignored her and turned to look at Vince, hoping that he was going to be more reasonable than his sister. “I am sorry, Jack. But we need to continue moving. There is no time, and I would not want to lose my chances of laying my hands on all the beautiful t

The rest of the crew joined him almost immediately, spreading themselves across different corners of the Greenland in order to escape from the creatures that were swooping in on them from the sky. “I knew it! I shouldn't have come to this adventure! This was a mistake!” Seth cried out aloud as he galloped from one point to another, unable to make up his mind about the actual direction he was to run. Sooner than they expected, the creatures got really closer, and from the sight Jack made when he looked up in the sky, there were about fifteen of those blood-thirsty huge creatures ready to devour them. “They are getting closer! What do we do? What do we do?” Sierra asked anxiously, looking up at the sky, and unable to make a decision about the the particular direction she was supposed to run to. “I think we should hide behind the trees! Everyone, the trees! Go for the trees!” Jack said loudly, running toward one of the huge trees, and almost immediately, the others joined him, runnin

“Hang on, Sierra!” Vince said as soon as he ran out from his hiding place behind one of the trees, and instantly, he twisted the ring attached to his spear, making it glow brightly before he started to run toward the direction the creature was flying while still holding onto his sister whose legs were dangling in the air. “Hurry! Hurry, Vince! Hurry up!” “I am coming!” Vince increased the speed of his legs, and after a while, he jumped really high with the help of the spear before he dashed into the air, and grabbed the creature on its tail. “Vince! Hurry! Get me away from this ugly thing!” “I am trying, okay? Just hang in there!” Vince tightened his grip on the creature’s leg, and when he was sure that he was balanced, he plunged his spear into the belly of the creature, it let out a loud cry which made it let go of Sierra who fell instantly to the ground, and grunted as soon as her body touched the Greenland. “You are welcome!” Vince grunted as he held onto the tail of the crea

I knew that this was a bad idea!” “Well, we are here already. Maybe you can try focusing on the best action to take so that we can leave this place alive rather than regretting the decision you have already taken!”Vince retorted while holding onto his spear firmly his eyes staring keenly at the creature. A few seconds later, he pulled out his energy blade and got ready to attack the screecher which turned to look at him, and growled angrily. Realizing that he had succeeded in getting the attention of the creature, Jack decided that he was going to lure it away from Lucy, and then he started to run toward his left after making sure that the creature was really pissed that it distracted it from attacking Lucy who was still on the ground struggling with her breath. “Come on, come after me,” Jack said hopefully after he had taken a few steps to his left, but the creature was caught up between the two Humans, and wasn’t sure of which one of them it was going to attack first. A few seconds later, the creature decided to go with the meal that was closer, and then it returned its attention to Lucy who gasped the moment her eyes met with the fiery eyes of th

Watching Jack struggling with the creature that grabbed him from the ground, she felt a sudden guilt grip her, and she felt she was never going to be able to live with the guilt if anything happened to him. “Drop him! Drop him!” She started running toward the creature that had Jack, completely ignoring the rest that was screeching at her from the moment she started running toward one of them with her dagger tightly gripped in her right hand. “Drop him! Let him go you ugly fat-faced monster!” Lucy continued to go after the creature that tightly held onto Jack, but she had only taken a few more steps when one of the other screechers decided to attack her for trying to go after one of them. “Get away from me! Jack! Help! My hair!” Jack Jack dragged out the blade from the heart of the creature, and it fell backward, sprawling on the grass, and causing the little insects on the ground to flee for safety. “Jack! Jack!” “I am coming,” Jack said with a faint voice, and after he had quickly taken in a deep breath which he let out sharply, he stood up with the help of his blade, and dashed toward Lucy who had fallen face-down to the ground while the screecher above her still attempted to drag her upward by her hair. The distance between the point where Jack took off from and the spot where Lucy lay wasn’t so close, but he maintained a h

Jack took in a deep breath which he exhaled sharply, and while everyone remained calm, waiting for him to continue, he resumed speaking with a calm but resonant voice. “I forgive you, Vince. I guess you were acting based on impulse even though you shouldn’t have attacked me that way. I hope this teaches you a life lesson.”“Certainly, it has. I have learned that things may not always be the way they seem, Jack. What just happened has taught me a very important lesson.” Vince said with a low tone, he paused for less than five seconds, and when he was sure that Jack was still listening, he continued. “I know better now, Jack. I promise not to ever do that again.” “Good, that’s all that matters.” Jack nodded with a smile on his face, and when he turned to look at Sierra, he sighed heavily. “I forgive you all, the both of you. I just hope that you are not going to do this again.” “We won’t, Jack. That’s a promise. I have realized my mistakes, and I am ready to make amends.” Sierra sa

Overwhelmed by the guilt that cringed him like a volcanic eruption, Vince took in a deep breath which he let out slowly, and when he was certain that he had summoned enough courage, he slowly started walking toward Jack who only gave him a quick glance before he bent his face and grunted angrily. “I am really sorry, Jack. Please forgive me.” Vince apologized with a low tone, but Jack ignored him, unable to forget the fact that he was determined to kill him a few minutes earlier. He tried to accept his apology at once, but he was too upset to easily forgive him without expressing himself at least. “What happened? Why is Vince apologizing to Jack?” Sierra asked Lucy who took a step backward before she sighed heavily. “Jack was the one who saved you, he gave you a substance in a bottle to drink. Vince thought he had killed you, and tried to avenge your death.” Lucy explained with a whisper, looking in at Sierra who was shocked and dumbfounded at the same time. At that moment, she was

“I tried, okay? I tried to stop him, but he is too stubborn! I can’t do anything, Lucy! I have my own problem to worry about!” Dwayne blurted out at once, still grunting inwardly while he looked at Vince who had made two other failed attempts to strike Jack with his spear. “What are you afraid of? huh? Fight me, Jack! Fight me like a man! You just killed two men and my sister! I am sure that taking one more life would mean nothing to you! Fight me! Are you scared?” Vince roared as he marched angrily at Jack who sighed heavily while he watched him get closer with each fast limp he made. Jack’s intention was just to defend himself and never hurt the Elf, but he was afraid that he was going to have to choose between himself and Vince who refused to budge. “You need to stop this, Vince! You are making a very terrible mistake! I don’t want to hurt you! Eventually, Vince gave in, and reluctantly let go of Jack’s hands while he looked at his sister whose life was fading away gradually. “This better work or I am going to kill you myself! I don’t care if you have that weapon or not!” Vince threatened, staring at the blazing sword which lay on the ground close to Jack. “Hurry, Jack! She is almost dying!” Lucy called Jack’s attention to Sierra who had stopped jerking, giving signs that she was about to die. Quickly, Jack leaned forward to her and poured some of the content of the healing oil into her mouth while Lucy helped him keep her mouth open just before she forced her to swallow it. They waited for a few seconds amidst the panic that engulfed them, but nothing happened. Jack looked at the bottle in his hand, and when he returned his gaze to Sierra, he saw that she was not moving, and he became very nervous. “I think you should give her more! One of them stopped it from rolling with his left foot, and the two of them growled at Jack angrily, but the sight of the weapon which he wielded firmly caused them not to make a single move. “That should be enough to show you that you will be fighting a lost battle if you decide to stop us from leaving. We do not want any more trouble….” Jack looked at his companions, and then he signaled to them at once, waiting patiently until they got up from their kneeling positions. For almost thirty seconds, Jack looked at the sword in his hand, wondering if it was going to be able to do anything to hurt the beast in Human form standing before him. At that moment, he would have preferred the energy blade, but there was no time to think about any other decision as Kael had gotten ready to attack. Stomping his feet heavily on the hard floor, Kael ran toward Jack with all the energy he had in him, ready to finish him off with a single strike. “You are going to regret what you did to my champion!” Kael roared, jumping up again while he lifted his sword, and struck Jack with it. Reacting to the nervousness that cringed into him the moment he saw the sword coming down at him, Jack lifted his sword impulsively in an attempt to block the strike from Kael’s sword. Unexpectedly, the blazing sword blazed with a fierce glitter that was bright enough to blind anyone who gazed at it for a long time. Jack became very wary of what was going to happen if he wasn’t able to dodge the arrow, but because Kael was closer than he was before, he couldn’t discard the nervousness that crept into his body as he watched his enemy get closer to him. Without warning, Kael released the spear from his hand with a more fierce energy which was almost twice the force with which he threw the previous spear which managed to give Jack a cut on his left arm. Luckily, Jack ducked the moment the spear got very close to him, and it flew ahead of him, missing him by several inches. Kael grunted angrily while his men groaned in disappointment as they thought that the spear was going to get Jack after Kael had aimed for his head, hoping to kill him with the second spear. “You missed!” Jack said to Kael with a smirk on his face while he struggled to catch his breath after having a near-death experience while he watched the spear attempt to plunge into his head. “Hand me over a sword!” Kael said imperati
