Slowly, Vince and Sierra walked toward their companions while they looked at their surroundings, still wary of the fact that they could meet any kind of danger lurking around. Their eyes returned to their companions a while later, and they stared at the caves that had made them very unhappy.

“We are here, guys. What’s the plan?” Vince asked as soon as he stopped in front of the cave alongside his sister who grabbed her bow and arrow from Dwayne before she strapped them on, getting ready for any kind of danger that could come her way. She had forgotten suddenly that she almost died a short while earlier, and the only thought in her mind was how she could go without fulfilling all her dreams.

“We are doing this…” Dwayne took in a deep breath which he let out slowly before he withdrew his eyes from the cave and looked at his companions one after the other just in case there was anyone who was having second thoughts about what they were about to do.

“Well, it seems we ave all agreed to

“What now? Are we supposed to stand here and wait for something to drag us inside or probably come and attack us?” Sierra said with a smirk on her face, looking at Jack who shook his head immediately, surprised that she was going back to her previous attitude just when he thought she was going to change totally. “What? Why are you looking at me like that?” Sierra asked Jack who shook his head at once, not ready to be in any kind of argument with her. “Nothing, Sierra. Nothing at all.” Jack said calmly, and when Sierra realized that he had spoken to him with a harsh tone, she sighed softly while the feeling of regret surged into her nerves. “I don’t know what we are going to expect inside there, guys. But what I know is that whatever happens, we stick together just like we have said. No one is going to go missing, guys. No one.” Dwayne said with an audible whisper, looking at his companions one after the other while they listened attentively, trying to get themselves in the mood to

Lucy lifted Vince’s spear up to her face while everyone watched with keen interest, wondering what she was up to. Gently, she tied the piece of cloth she reaped off from Vince’s clothe, and then she sighed softly before she waved her left hand above the spear. A blue flame appeared almost immediately, burning the piece of cloth tied to the spear while everyone was taken aback by the magic she performed. “Did you guys see that?” Vince asked instantly, pointing at the flame which burned brightly, illuminating the entire place with its bright light. “How? How did you do that?” Sierra asked with so much astonishment written all over her face, but Lucy didn’t look like she was in the mood to give any explanations. She ignored their inquisitions, and then she started moving ahead gradually, walking past Dwayne who was right in front of her, giving her a very suspicious look as though she had stolen something from him. When Lucy had taken over ten steps without hearing the footsteps of a

“Suddenly, you now realize that she is truly a witch! You didn’t think about that before you swore allegiance to her!” Sierra said angrily, looking at Jack who was right behind Dwayne and managed to walk past him as soon as Lucy made her move toward the path in front of them which became more narrow and dark as they moved further. “Well, it’s not my fault, Sierra. She saved my life! What else did you expect me to do? I owed her my allegiance, that’s a price that I had to pay in appreciation. You know the rules, Sierra I didn’t make them.” “Yeah, that’s the reason why we are here at this moment. Because you decided to give your life to a witch pretending to have pure blood.” Sierra scoffed at Lucy who wasn’t even aware that they were speaking with her name. “We have been walking for a very long time, but it seems like the path is endless,” Vince complained with a voice a little above a whisper, and then he looked head, hoping to see something that was suitable, but the path continue

All the adventurers turned around almost immediately, wondering where the scary sound had come from. They tried to be as brave as possible, but it seemed like the previous encounters they had were enough to lessen their courage, especially with the fact that the sound was really familiar.“Is that what I think it is?” Lucy asked with a shaky voice, looking around to see if he was going to see anything, but the cave had suddenly gone quiet, allowing them to hear the sound of their heavy heartbeats thudding aggressively as they looked around amidst the panic that engulfed them. “Everyone should remain still, I need your help guys to come close.” Dwayne instructed with a whisper, and they all came very close to each other until their bodies contacted while they continued looking around, struggling with the tension that engulfed them. “I really hope this isn’t what I think it is, guys. What if that’s what’s responsible for those skulls over there?” Lucy asked with a trembling voice, an

It was obvious to them that something was there with them, and it was really big. They looked at the spot where it landed, and even though they couldn’t see anything at that moment, the sound of internal growling that attacked their ears was enough to put them in the mood to defend themselves against whatever was there. “Who are these cave intruders? How dare you infiltrate into this cave? Who sent you? Do you have death wishes?” Said a deep voice from that direction they felt a heavy thud on the hard floor. It was difficult to tell if the voice was that of a male or female as it sounded a bit distorted, and didn’t sound like the voice of any familiar creature they had come across. “I smell Humans! The pumping heartbeat of two Humans! One seems brave, and the other is scared of her wits! She seems really frightened, and I think her fear is justifiable!” The voice returned after a few seconds before it chuckled softly, causing some echo around the cave while the chuckle turned into l

The adventurers continued to listen amidst the silence that had suddenly taken over the cave, hoping to get a response from the strange voice that refused to speak to them. Sierra was more curious to hear something from the distorted voice, and when she had waited for a while without hearing the sound of the voice again, she decided to speak again. “You still haven’t given me the answer I requested! Who are you? How did you know my name?”“You ask the wrongest questions, Sierra! Just like I said, all of the things you need to know will eventually be made known to you. For now, you should be more focused on the things that I am about to say to you.”Everyone listened attentively, waiting to hear what the voice was going to say to them, and even though it was taking a lot of time to return, they didn't seem to be bothered as long as it was going to be worth the stress. “Hello? Are you there?” Sierra asked with a shaky voice even though she tried to hide the fact that she was a bit ne

Everyone was silently waiting for the creature to give them an instruction, but even at that moment, the impatience that they had been harboring began to grow, and they just couldn’t wait to walk through the huge gate they were staring at. While they were still waiting to hear what the creature was going to say, a bright light appeared in front of them, followed by a long bridge that pushed the gate farther away from them, making it almost out of sight. “In front of you is the pathway that will lead you to the fortunes you desire! You must know that each step you take brings you closer to tasks that you must perform if you wish to come out of this alive. I just want you to know that the hurdles which you must overcome will be very difficult!” The adventurers looked at the bridge and couldn’t take their eyes away from it. It was built with strong bricks and had metal rails on both sides. Underneath it was a deep hole that was dark and didn't have any sign of light at its bottomless

From that moment, the adventurers knew that they had left their safety for fate to decide while they struggled with the feeling of uncertainty that engulfed them. Looking at Dwayne who had turned around when he was certain that he was safe, they tried to gather enough momentum to follow suit. “Come on guys. It’s safe!” Dwayne beckoned on his companions who were still skeptical about stepping on the bridge while they kept their eyes on it, expecting to hear or see anything terrible. “The game has already begun! Standing there and wasting your time would not help you get to the end!” The creature's voice echoed from within the darkness, startling them and causing them to turn toward Its direction. “You are left with no other choice but to do what I have instructed you to do, Warriors! Remember, this is the only way you can get to the treasures your hearts are after!” The creature reminded them of the words it had spoken previously, and they realized that they had gotten themselves in

We all came here together, we should leave together.” Vince looked around as though he was expecting to see Dwayne, and when he didn’t see any sign of him, he shook his head and sighed heavily. “Did he go with anything?” Sierra said with a low tone, looking at Jack who quickly understood why she was looking at him.“The medallion!” He reached for his Pocket at once, and as soon as he felt the medallion, he sighed heavily, giving others a reason to remain calm. “I don’t know if he is going to be able to make it on his own, guys. You all saw the way his body looked. I don’t think he will be able to be out there on his own. This dimension is full of monsters.” Lucy said with a tone laced with so much concern, but Sierra scoffed almost, with a look of disdain on her face. Lucy stared at her with a little surprise in her eyes, wondering why she was still the way she was. She seemed to be the only pe

For the first time ever since they left the city for the dimension in search of the medallion, the adventurers slept like babies, with a little relief in their minds. All of a sudden, they had forgotten that they were in am area where monsters and creatures of all kinds nestled. Nothing else mattered at that time, not even the fact that they weren’t sure of how to go back. Jack was the first to wake up at the first flicker of dawn. He blinked his eyelids several times to get rid of the weakness that tried to shut his eyes just before he stretched and yawned, pushing himself up while he groaned loudly. He could see that the sun was shining brightly, but the strange color of the dimension still remained the same, different from that of Earth. Right beside him was Lucy who was still sound asleep, enjoying the cool breeze that perched on her face. She smiled while she was fast asleep, and Jack could tell that she was having the most amazing dream.

“Guys? None of you is saying anything! You can’t just keep quiet about this, whatever decision we are making, I think we need to make it together.” Jack said calmly while he looked at Lucy whose eyes were saying more words than her mouth at that time. He could see from the look in her eyes that she wanted him to pass judgment that would be very easy for him to endure. She was even willing to let go and hoped that everyone was going to agree with her even though she knew that it was going to be very difficult, especially with Sierra involved. Lucy was the most compassionate among all the adventurers, she was merciful and kind, and could easily be made to react to very emotional situations. Her eagerness to react to such things made her the weakest link to them, and she didn’t even know about it. “I think we should let go of everything he has done to us, and move on. After all, we already have found the medallion, and it doesn’t look like we are going to

Sierra didn’t seem interested to hear what he was going to say, but when she saw that every other person had gotten closer to him, she reluctantly did the same and stood behind him, watching and waiting with her arms folded. Dwayne looked at his companions one after the other, and when he saw that they were paying attention while they surrounded him, standing at different corners, he sighed heavily before he went ahead to tell them what they had been longing to hear. “I am dying.” He said with a shaky tone, but his words came as a shock to his companions who didn’t know if they were to believe him him or not. Everyone had become very silent while they looked at Jack who began to come down slowly, looking at Lord Rasmus who threatened to kill Lucy and was serious about it,. He wasn’t mincing words, and Lucy was aware of this as well. “You are wasting my time, boy! Hurry up at once, hand over the medallion, or she is dead!”“You will get the medallion! Don’t just hurt her! Don’t hurt her, okay?” Jack gestured to Lord Rasmus while he slowly came down, and the glow that covered him went off at once. The medallion fell into his hand, and he held it firmly while walking toward him. “Come on! Hand it over, now!” Lord Rasmus said imperatively while he had his eyes on the medallion, still holding onto Lucy who was still shivering under the influence of the fright that gripped her. Halfway to getting to Lord Rasmus, Jack noticed the presence of some shadowed creatures behind him, and he had to stop to be sure he wasn’t hallucinating. The figures disappeared almost as soon as they appeared, and Ja

I need you! Please…” She whimpered while she was still moving backward until she almost staggered to the ground. While Jack was still struggling to understand what was going on, he heard the sound of Lucy’s voice, and reacting to it, he turned abruptly to look at the soldiers who had gone after her, still hanging in the air.“Don’t get close to her!” He said angrily to the soldiers, but they ignored him, and grabbed Lucy at once, dragging her to Lord Rasmus while she struggled to free herself from the

At that moment, the strange sensation that engulfed Jack made him take two steps toward the tomb, but the soldiers who were focused on the tomb as well didn’t take notice of him. As the sensation became more intense, so did he increase his steps, moving gradually but with a constant pace while his eyes continued to gaze at the tomb. “Finally!” Lord Rasmus brightened his face as he approached the tomb as though his life depended on it. He got very close to it, and as soon as the soldiers moved farther away from the tomb, he reached into the tomb and grabbed the medallion with both hands, lifting it up into the air until everyone could see it. “This is the medallion?” Sierra said with a smirk on her face while she stared at the bronze medallion that was visible to every other person. She seemed a little bit disappointed at how small and ordinary the medallion, and she was almost about to regret coming on that mission for something like that. Jack saw this and wished he could make a move, but the soldiers standing close to him were already aware that he could not be overlooked and had their eyes on him. “What did you say?” “I said that they are going to raise the spirits of the dead kings! I come from a lineage of necromancers, and I know that the tombs of kings should never be desecrated in any way, no matter what. This could awaken their spirits, and they could come for retaliation.” Lucy said with a sh
