When the business with the black creatures out there wasn't over, he had to get another problem in the afterlife.

"Am I dead?"

"Are you an angel?"

Adam felt confused. The place he visited seemed to be on earth, but the atmosphere he felt was like being in another dimension.

"Just answer my question. Do you want to come back to life and take your revenge?" The creature continued to press him.

"How can I go back?" He could only stare at the creature.

"I will come with you. The explanation will come later after we return to your world." the creature whispered into Adam's ear with a smile.

Snap!

The snap of his fingers made everything between the two of them into an infinite white room. Adam was surprised by the change. The creature in front of him suddenly transformed back into a luminous figure that shone so brightly. If you could imagine the black creature before, then the creature in front of Adam right now was the light version.

"Before we go back, there's something you should know. The black creature that killed you has made a massive invasion across the world. What happened to your town is also happening in other towns. Your top priority is to hunt them down and kill them! They are your current enemy." The glowing creature snapped its fingers again before Adam could reply.

Snap!

When Adam opened his eyes, he woke up where he had died. What he saw was still the same. Barren, arid, fire everywhere, lots of debris scattered around, and many bodies lying around. He pinched his cheeks to prove himself alive again. And he was sure!

"No way! How can I come back to life?!"

Adam looked at his previously badly injured chest. Incredible! The large hole in his chest had disappeared. He also felt his heartbeat returning. This really didn't make sense!

"Well, now what do I do?" He felt confused. In the midst of the destruction there were no other humans except him.

"Oh, you came back?" someone spoke behind him.

Adam turned around. He felt an overwhelming sense of fear when he saw the black creature again. The creature's smirking black lips were enough to make Adam shiver.

"W-what should I do?!"

"It's right in front of me!"

"Help... anyone! Help me!"

Sweat began to pour down his body. His tongue felt numb and he could only stand without moving.

"How did you come back to life?"

"Are you... a hunter?"

The creature approached Adam. It watched every inch of his face while questioning the reason Adam came back to life. There was no fear, the creature was really playing with Adam's already frazzled feelings.

"Hey, answer me. How did you come back?" He tapped Adam's forehead with one finger.

Can't speak! Adam felt like his mouth couldn't open. The intense fear was crushing him. Even more so, when the black creature was so close to him. He trembled even more when he looked into the creature's eyes.

"You won't answer? Fine... then I'll kill you again! Let's see if you can come back to life after this!" The black creature immediately attacked Adam's chest with his hand.

But before his hand could penetrate the young man's chest, he was shocked as his target disappeared from sight. Adam suddenly moved away from where he was.

"What?!"

"Why am I here?"

His eyes opened very wide. His previously closed mouth suddenly opened in surprise.

"No way!" The creature didn't expect that. It stared at Adam curiously.

As the black creature again attacked Adam by moving towards him, the man was again able to dodge the fist thrown by the creature. This time Adam dodged so quickly. The creature's attacks also rushed towards him.

"No way!" The black creature was annoyed. Its fist, which had a speed above that of an ordinary human fist, was easily dodged by Adam.

"Punch him in the face!" Someone whispered loudly in his ear.

One of Adam's hands immediately struck the black creature in the face, sending it flying far back. Adam felt an energy field collide between his hand and the creature, causing it to move away from him.

The smile on his face assures us that he has the ability to defeat the creature. However, he also felt confused about himself.

"What's going on?"

"Is this the kind of power that superheroes have?"

Adam still doubted his punch. But he was eager to kick the creature again.

"You bastard!"

"You dare hit me?!"

The creature stood up again. This time it looked very angry. The darkness surrounding its body was suffocating. Even the small stones beneath it were flying around.

"Die!"

He suddenly appeared right in front of Adam while swinging his fist. For the second time, Adam heard the same voice as before.

"Dodge!"

In a matter of a few seconds, the creature's fist closed in on Adam's face. But strangely when the creature managed to punch his opponent in the face, a few seconds later his opponent was standing elsewhere unharmed.

"What?!"

"He changed places again?!"

The creature looked dumbfounded.

Adam realized that the voice that whispered to him had saved him twice. He had recognized it long before the voice whispered to him. Adam only realized that the voice was coming from the luminous being he had previously encountered in another dimension.

"I remember you. You're a strange glowing creature, aren't you?"

"It's good to be remembered. Earlier, I promised to help you. And right now, I'm keeping my promise.”

The luminous being continued to speak through the heart. Adam hadn't expected to see him again. But hearing that it would keep its promise this time, he was happy.

"Don't play games with me!"

"You bastard!"

The black creature looked agitated. It attacked Adam again. This time one of its hands seemed to turn into a spear point. But just as the creature was about to stab him with the spearhead, a bright light suddenly appeared in front of the two.

"You dare to pass through the portal and mess up this world. So, don't blame me if I kill you and the Ordogs.

The black creature's hand stopped. It was surprised when a palm grasped the spearhead tightly.

"You?!"

"No way!"

"Paladin?!"

The name uttered by the black creature made Adam curious. Paladin—he had never heard that name before.

"Ordog, you've really made us furious! Your foolishness of wanting to rule the three worlds is unforgivable!" The paladin standing in front of Adam strangled the black creature with his other hand.

"Wh-what do you want?! You're not allowed to interfere in human affairs!" The black creature called Ordog looked annoyed. It tried to release the grip of the Paladin's hand from its neck.

"Don't worry. We already have a way out. If we can't interfere in human affairs, then we just need to make them like us. You will witness the rise of your people's hunters. And those hunters will be referred to as Jager by the other humans." After he finished speaking, he threw the disgusting creature away.

"Insolent!" The unidentified ordog stood back up. Just as he was about to attack again, the Paladin who had been near Adam stood behind him.

Ordog was taken by surprise. There was no time for him to turn away or dodge. Quickly the sword that Paladin created from his light slashed through Ordog's neck until the black creature vanished into a puff of black smoke.

"He is dead, but there are many other Ordogs. We must hurry to close the portals in this city to stop the invasion." The Paladin approached Adam at a leisurely walk.

"You owe me an explanation!" Adam had no idea about Paladins or Ordogs. He also didn't understand what exactly the portal and the invasion meant.

"Agreed. Then let's go!" Paladin took Adam to where the portal was.
