Portal to Another Dimension

Using teleportation, Paladin brought Adam near a dimensional portal. The portal was located at the site of a national monument. But unfortunately, the portal destroyed the national monument without leaving a trace. And the portal was the cause of all the disasters that occurred.

The diameter of the portal was as high as the national monument. It was about 550 meters tall. It was shaped like a circle with a bluish-white shell of energy in the center. If you're used to seeing dimensional portals in science fiction games or movies, that's what the portal in front of Adam looked like.

Everything around the portal looked destroyed. There were so many ruins of buildings scattered around. Plus, there were several humans who seemed to be approaching the portal.

"So this is the portal?"

"Cool, right?"

"Do you want to admire it or close it?"

"Both."

Paladin saw several people walking from different directions. They were heading towards the portal. He realized that they were humans shaded by the paladin's light. He saw the presence of other Paladins in the bodies of those people.

"What are they doing? Why are they heading to the portal?" Adam turned to the Paladin. They were currently on top of a building that had been partially destroyed.

"They are just like you. Inside them is the Paladin who told them to close the portal." Strangely, Paladin felt something was off. Not a single Ordog could be seen near the portal. They seemed to have vanished into thin air. Supposedly those damn creatures would try to protect his home.

"Paladin? That means there's a creature like you inside their bodies? This is crazy! Did they ever die like me?" Adam turned to Paladin who looked worried.

"To meet a Paladin, you have to die first. But... you must also be chosen. If you do not fit into our criteria, then you will still be left to die. That is, the humans chosen by the Paladins are the chosen ones." Paladin was getting more and more anxious. He tried to detect the presence of the Ordogs, but none of them were in his vicinity. Even at a radius of ten kilometers. They seemed to have disappeared.

"What's wrong? What are you worried about? Your face doesn't look right," Adam asked.

"Something is strange. There isn't a single Ordog around the portal. They're supposed to protect the portal, but they don't." The Paladin felt that something was going to happen to the portal.

"There are two possibilities. The first is that they have retreated. Second, there will be Ordogs whose level may be far above the previous Ordogs." Adam was worried.

Many people were standing right in front of the portal. They were accompanied by their respective Paladins. Their Paladin forms varied greatly. It doesn't always have to be glowing. Some are in the form of large eyeballs, human-sized insects, four-legged and human-bodied animals, human figures wearing armor, and many more.

Paladins - beings that have high intelligence and are below the level of angels. In a way, they are low-level angels tasked with guiding the chosen humans. They can also be referred to as guardians. This time, the Paladins were asked to interfere in Ordog's affairs, but they were not allowed to interfere directly. They were only allowed to give their power to the humans they chose.

"Should we go there?" Adam felt that the portal was very suspicious.

"Wait... I have a bad feeling." The paladin asked Adam to stay where he was.

Not long after, something happened to the portal. A stream of energy in the form of a blue electric shock shot out from inside the portal. The massive energy field exploded and created a huge explosive ripple that swept through the air. The humans and Paladins around the portal tried to maintain their positions.

"That's incredible! The energy wave is so powerful!" Adam was amazed, but also afraid.

"Something is emerging from inside the portal." The Paladins scanned the surface of the portal.

Slowly, several black-colored creatures appeared in groups. They wore armor that had the same black color as their bodies. All the creatures were marching like soldiers. Their numbers were no joke either! There were more than ten battalions coming out from inside the portal.

And not only that, aerial infantry also came out from within the portal. They looked like giant black whales equipped with armor. Some wore black wings and carried spears. But the most chilling was a tall black figure that had four wings. The creature also had a black crown on its head. The creature was about 300 meters tall. In its right hand, it held a black trident spear, and in the other hand, it held a black shield.

"What is that creature?!"

"No way! Why is he coming out?!"

Adam and Paladin were both shocked. They had not expected such a tall creature to appear. What kind of ordog had a body that tall? It was like a giant!

"Do you know anything about that thing? You just said 'why did it come out'. Paladin? You know, right?!" Adam asked for an explanation from the creature beside him.

"He is the Ordog king who oversees the first dimension." Paladin felt anxious.
