Chapter Three 

James Parker stood at the door motionlessly, staring keenly at the two people before him for a period of time. 

Realization dawned upon him, he shouted out his girlfriend out of anger, “Melissa!!!”

The lady, hearing her name all of a sudden, disengaged from the supervisor and stared shockingly at the man at the door. 

Quickly, she grabbed her clothes from the clothes and wrapped them around her body. Fear and shame were embodied over her face. She never expected James would ever catch her sleeping with the supervisor. 

James gritted his teeth angrily, “What are you doing with this Old Hag, Melissa? Are you cheating on me?" He demanded. 

The Supervisor and Melissa's face was occupied with shock and fear. Everyone had moved out of the company and they never thought someone would come back to the company. 

With a trembling voice, “What are you still doing at the company, James Parker? Did you forget anything?” The supervisor demanded. 

Disgustingly, James stared at them with a heavy heart. He never expected Melissa to shatter his heart in this manner. 

“What are you doing with this Old Hag, Melissa?” He repeated the question once again, but this time with a more fierce tone. 

Melissa staggered back a little, and stuttered. “I…I.m…im….” 

“You don't have to explain anything to him. He has no right to demand anything from you! You are only colleagues and not spouses!” The supervisor blurted furiously, his face contorted with rage. For the fact that James had barged into his office and disrupted the fun he was having, made him more mad. 

Hearing what the supervisor said, Melissa's face flushed in embarrassment. No one knew about her secret relationship with James. 

James scoffed, “Is this the reason why you want our relationship not to be known? It's because of him!” He pointed at the supervisor, and gritted his teeth. 

He was at the brink of tears but he kept holding it, staring at the woman he once called ‘Love Of His Life!’. 

The Supervisor glanced at Melissa with a raised brow, and demanded. “Are you guys dating? You are into a relationship with this good-for-nothing boy!”

Melissa nodded her head shamelessly in response. “Yes sir!”

James Parker smirked devilishly, “You guys are going to regret the pain you've caused me today. I'm going to report you to the company's board of directors. You are going to regret this, I promise you!” 

Taking a last glance at the both of them, he ran out of the company  with a brooding heart. He never believed the woman he loved so much was this type of a person. 

Wicked! Dangerous! She acted more like a snake. 

“You will regret this, Melissa!!”He mumbled to himself over and over again. 

While in Sky Corporation, Melissa's face was full of fear and worries. She turned to the supervisor, and questioned, “What are we going to do about him, sir? James is really dangerous, and shouldn't be treated lightly. He is going to report us as he claimed. What should we do?” 

The Supervisor ruffled his hair frustratingly, and shouted back at Melissa, “You never mention to me you're dating the good-for-nothing boy! Now, he is going to report us to the Management by tomorrow morning!” 

“I don't know this is going to happen! This is not the first time we've been having sex in the office! Besides, I was planning to part ways with him at the end of the week!” Melissa said. 

The Supervisor gave it a thought and suddenly, he burst into an uncontrollable laughter while Melissa frowned slightly. 

“Why are you laughing? You shouldn't be doing this! We are about getting into trouble.” She said, staring at the supervisor in a confused manner. 

The supervisor stopped laughing abruptly, “A  wicked plan just popped up into my head and if this plan is carried out perfectly, James is going to regret ever toying with us!” He said. 

Melissa's face shone brightly, and asked curiously, “Really! What is the plan all about?" 

The Man gestured, “Come closer!!” He mumbled, and Melissa did as he said. He whispered his plans into her left ear. 

Melissa smiled viciously, “Sure, this is the best plan ever!” 

Due to the heartbreak, James Parker  was seen roaming around the street like a living corpse. There's nothing to differentiate him from Zombies. He looked so much like them, all thanks to Melissa's immorality. 

He kept thinking about all they had shared together and the reason why Melissa could have done this to him. It was really heartbreaking. 

All his trust has been put into Melissa's care. Despite being bullied and molested at Sky Corporation, he never thought of leaving the company all because of her. 

James's phone kept ringing continuously and when he checked the caller, it was Linda.  She must be calling him asking if he finished the work, but James didn’t want to pick it. 

However, when he was about to put his phone into his pants pocket, he received a message from Melisa. 

It said that “I was forced by the supervisor. He had been molesting me ever since I got into the company and he threatened to sack me if I ever told anyone. I'm sorry, James. I'm really sorry.”

As he read, his eyes were about bulging out of his sockets. He looked shocked, and instantly, he placed a call onto Melissa. 

He really wants more information about everything that happens. Instantly, Melissa picked up the voice and her loud wail erupted from the phone. 

Looking worried, James uttered. “Stop crying, Melissa! Did the supervisor do this to you? Are you really telling the truth?” 

“The Supervisor had an eye for me ever since I stepped into the company. He had been harassing and threatening me! Every single day, he always has his way with me! I'm sorry, James. I really want to explain this to you but I'm really scared.” He could hear Melissa's sad tone and he couldn't help but clenched his fists tightly. He was indeed furious. 

He said in a deep voice, “The Supervisor really needs to pay for his crime. We really need to report him to the Management. You have to report this case to the Management, Melissa! Shouldn't you?” 

Melissa hesitated for a while, “Am I not going to get into trouble? He threatened to kill me, James? What should I do?" 

James sighed, “You don't have to worry about anything, Melissa. I'm always by your side! Let's report him to the Management tomorrow morning!" 

“Really! Aren't you mad at me anymore? Do you think I'm still worthy of being your girlfriend?" Melissa questioned. 

"I am really sad and heart broken but all these aren't your fault. You're being threatened, so I've forgiven you!” James mumbled. 

Melissa cried for a while, “I still love you too, James. If you've truly forgiven me, can you come over to my place right now? I want to see your face once again!” 

Without thinking twice, James agreed. “I will be with you in a jiffy.” With that, he started running towards Melissa's house. 

James arrived at his girlfriend's house and went in. He was welcomed with a heartfelt hug from Melissa while she sobbed on his shoulder. 

“You really came for me, James! What can I do without you? You are such a loving and caring man. I really can't ask for more.” 

After settling in and discussing for a while, Melissa brought out a wine and poured it into two cups. 

“Aren’t you thirsty yet? You should drink some wine! Take this!” She handed over one of the cups to James. 

James, on the other hand, smiled and agreed with her. He downed up to five cups of wine. 

However, soon James felt his eyes blurry and suddenly, he slumped into total darkness. He became unconscious.
