Chapter Four 

 The next day, it was really bright in the morning, and the birds kept chirping and singing aloud. 

That woke James up from the deep sleep, and his head banged heavily. He stared around the room and he realized it was Melissa. 

He woke up naked on her bed and gasped loudly. He checked his phone for the time, and his eyes almost popped out of his sockets. 

Shit!” He cursed inwardly and wore his clothes in a rush. He thought he must be drunk yesterday and instantly, he was mad at himself. He dashed towards the company right away. 

The moment he stepped into the office, he could see everyone's gaze on him. They were looking at him intensely but he shrugged it off and went his way. 

He went in search of Melissa in her department but couldn't find her. Yet again, everyone's gaze in the department was on him. He wondered what might be wrong. Afterwards, he shrugged it off. 

He thought of reporting the incident to the Management by himself since Melissa wasn't in the office. 

Just when he walked out of Melissa's department and was about to report the supervisor, a serious middle-aged woman walked to him, and asked for his name. 

“What's your name, young man?" The middle aged woman asked. 

James answered respectfully, “James Parker, ma'am! Is there anything you want me to do for you?” 

“Come with me, Mr. Parker! You are being summoned by the Management." 

Hearing the middle aged woman, James thought his girlfriend, Melissa had reported the supervisor and they needed to confirm the information from him if it's true. 

Instantly, he followed behind the woman and they both walked into the management room. 

However, when he got into the room, he saw some new faces but he saw Melissa sitting beside the supervisor and her eyes were red. He was totally confused but yet, he kept his calm and stayed behind the woman. 

The woman gestured to a seat, “Mr Parker, can you take a seat? We really have something important to ask you!” She said, 

“I will be glad to answer your questions, ma'am!” He mumbled gently and sat down on the chair while he glanced at Melissa questionably. 

“So," She began to say seriously, “A report was brought up to our table concerning Melissa, and we need sincere answers from you!?” 

He sat uprightly, and cleared his throat, “Sure! I will gladly answer your questions sincerely!” He answered. All in his thoughts was Melissa's  reporting about the supervisor's scandal, not knowing everything is all about him. 

The Middle aged woman glanced at him and then continued, “Yesterday, we heard Miss Melissa Britton was sexually harassed, and we need …..” 

Without listening to the remaining words, James instantly interrupted the woman and yelled angrily. 

“That wasn't a lie, ma'am! It really happened in front of me! The Supervisor was sexually harassing Miss Melissa Britton yesterday! This ain't been the first day he had been sexually abusing Miss Britton!” He blurted out, clenching his fists angrily while staring at the Supervisor with an angry gaze. 

Everyone was totally confused, and wondered what's happening with him. 

The Supervisor banged his hand on the table, and shouted. “You punk, how dare you accuse me of what I didn't do? When and where did you see me abusing Miss Britton?” 

James's face flushed more in anger. If it wasn't for the management before him, he would have beaten the hell out of the supervisor. 

"Hey, Old hag! Are you trying to deny it? I really saw you with my two eyes, forcefully having your way into Miss Britton.” He glanced over to Melissa, and demanded. “Why aren't you talking? You shouldn't sit down there as if nothing happened." 

“Enough, James! Why are you trying so hard to ignore the truth? Why are you trying to push the blame to the Supervisor when he hasn't done anything wrong?” Melissa blurted out, glaring at him dangerously. 

James was totally taken aback, he never expected this. "What are you talking about, Melissa? You should…” 

Cutting him off rudely, the middle aged shouted. “Shut up, rapist! How dare you try to lie against the supervisor? You are the accused one. You're the one who'd sexually harassed Miss Melissa Britton, a member of this company.” 

James was shocked. He glanced at Melissa and could see her looking at him contemptuously.

“What are you talking about? What do you mean by ‘I had harassed Melissa!’?” He stood up angrily, he was totally furious. “You guys are really joking, aren't you?”

The middle aged woman rebuked him, “Will you sit down, James Parker? We aren't done here! Here are the pictures of your mischief! The picture of you in Miss Birtton’s bed!”

Instantly, James dropped to his seat, and she showed the picture that James entered Melisa’s home, and he was naked on Melisa’s bed. The room was totally a mess.

He grabbed the pictures and his eyes widened. This is truly his picture and the clothes he wore yesterday were also the same in the pictures. 

“Nooo….Nooo….There is  a mistake somewhere!” He turned his gaze towards Melissa and shouted at the top of his voice. “Explain everything that happened to them. I really went to her house to pacify her.” 

“Shut up, James! When would you stop lying? All evidence is pointing towards you, and yet, you are trying to deny it!” The middle-aged  woman mumbled and banged her hand on the table. 

“That's because I'm not the one, ma'am! I never had sex with Miss Britton yesterday! All of these are all lies!” He kept insisting. 

“ Then how come you are naked on Miss Britton’s bed?” The middle-aged woman demanded. 

“Yesterday evening, I caught the supervisor and Melissa having sex in the office. I threatened to report them to the Management, and Melissa convinced me it wasn't intentional and that she was being forced, abused, and threatened by the supervisor. 

She called me on the phone and invited me to her house. Then she offered me a cup of wine, and that's everything I could remember!" He narrated properly, not leaving a single thing out of the story. 

“Do you have proof of what you've just said? The messages and calls!?” The middle aged woman demanded, while she turned her gaze towards Melissa and the supervisor. 

“Sure!” He brought his phone and skimmed through searching for Melissa's messages and calls but to his surprise, he couldn't find any. 

“What? I couldn't find any record of her calling or messaging me!” He blurted out, glancing at Melissa and the supervisor. He could see the mocking smiles on their faces.  Obviously, they were all deleted by Melissa. His misfortune was really planned by them and he was really taken unguided. 

James’s face turned pale, now he realized it was just a trap. He was furious, disappointed and could not say anything. The middle-aged woman then stood up and spoke, “We can't contain your illicit behavior, Mr James Parker! For this, you are hereby fired from this company and your salaries shall be given to Miss Melissa Britton as compensation.” 

She continued, “We don't want a rapist amongst us. You should start packing your belongings and leave the company right away.”
