Chapter 210 - Interrogation

Jason sat in the interrogation room, the fluorescent lights casted harsh shadows across his face. The dull buzzing of the lights rang in his ears, and a cold shiver travelled down his spine. He didn’t know if it was because he was genuinely cold or if it was because of the unpleasant memories the room was bringing to him.

Serena sat beside him, her expression steely and unwavering. Her presence was reassuring amidst the turmoil. The door creaked open, and Detectives Harris and Lee entered, their eyes fixed on Jason with a mix of suspicion and determination.

Detective Harris’ eyes travelled to Serena. “I see your lawyer finally arrived. Let’s see if she’s as good as she is pretty.”

Serena shifted uncomfortably because of the comment, but she kept her face neutral. She could tell that Harris was the type to intimidate others. From the corner of her eyes, she saw Jason glare at Detective Harris.

Detective Lee began the interrogation, flipping open his notebook. "Mr. Grey, we have a few q
