Chapter 231 - Unwanted visitor

Reuben knocked on Connor’s apartment door and stood firm outside, determined to get answers from Connor.

“Who could that be?” Serena exclaimed inside Connor’s bedroom. In one swift motion, she put on her shirt, which Connor had taken off only a few minutes ago.

“It’s obviously someone who hates me because they’re ruining a perfect moment,” Connor complained as he put on his shirt.

Connor walked over to Serena and placed a kiss on her cheek “Stay here," he told her before walking out of the bedroom and closing the door.

Reuben knocked again, this time much louder than the mat.

“I’m coming” Connor shouted, “Break the damn door, why don’t you?” he muttered under his breath.

Finally, he reached the front door and opened it. In front of him stood Reuben, who had a frown on his lips.

“Good afternoon” Connor greeted, his voice full of genuine curiosity and shock. He raised a brow. “You are Jason’s friend, aren’t you... Mr. Robin, isn’t it?”

"Reuben.” Reuben corrected him in an annoyed tone.
