Chapter Eighty Seven - Scam
“Is he dead?” Jason asked. It was the first possibility that came to mind ever since Diana told him that she wasn't able to reach him,

"No, he's not dead. Please just come here." Reuben pleaded

“Text me the address,” Jason said before hanging up. Before leaving the apartment, he made sure to pick up the small key and place it back in the box, along with the rest of the items.

Jason’s phone buzzed with an incoming message. He checked, and he saw that Reuben had sent him the address. The area was in the slums of the city, so Jason decided against taking his car as it may do more harm than good and took a taxi instead.

Throughout the drive, he caught himself looking over his shoulder and being extra cautious.

“Maybe I should get a bodyguard,” he said to himself, genuinely considering Reuben's idea.

He arrived safely at the place. It was a tall building that looked like it was owned by a company, but there was no name or logo on the building.
