Chapter Fourteenn - Have Faith

Jason sat there dazed, his mind reeling from Martin’s audacious proposal. He couldn’t believe what this bastard had just told him. He gritted his teeth in anger.

“I know you’ve never seen so much money at once, so there’s no need for you to pretend with me." Martin continued, “If you take the money and let me have my way with her, then the partnership will be secured.”

Jason was livid. This bastard put a measly price of five thousand dollars on his priceless Diana. This was the last straw.

Jason masked his anger with a tight smile. “Will you excuse me for just a second?” he said, rising to leave the table.

Martin smiled, thinking that Jason was about to accept his offer.

Jason went into the men’s bathroom and dialed Amelia Steele’s number. It rang twice before the call connected.

“Hello, am I speaking with Amelia Steele?” he said.
