“Then he’s going to have to get used to the idea of not getting what he wants because now more than ever, I’m sure that I want nothing to do with that man.” Jason declared it resolutely.

“Young Master, I understand that you’re upset, but you can’t mean that," Timothy said, his voice faltering.

"Timothy, with all due respect, you don’t understand. Neither you nor I truly understand the hell my mother went through. I know what it’s like to be treated like less of a human because of how much I have to say about my name or my status, and it’s disheartening.” Jason retorted, fresh anger swelling inside of him.

Timothy realised once again that there was no use in trying to argue with Jason at the moment. “You’re right, young master,” he sighed. “But there are two things I’d like to ask if you please, if I may.”

Jason clenched his jaw, trying to reign in his frustration. He knew his anger wasn’t really directed at Timothy. Taking a deep breath, he finally said, “Okay, fine, you can ask.”
