Chapter One Hundred and Fifty-Seven - Open Door
"Okay, I’ll tell you everything I know about what happened between them.” Timothy blurted out. “Let's sit down, please.”

Jason nodded. "Okay.”.

Both men took their seats opposite each other, just as they were before Connor came into the office. They were both anxious about the information that was about to be shared. However, Timothy wasn't as good at hiding it as Jason was; he had to wipe his hands with his handkerchief because of the sweat that was emanating from them.

Jason was equally anxious, among other things, to hear the truth, but he wouldn't let any feelings of fear or anxiety stop him from finding out what had happened.

Before Timothy could speak, the door of Jason's office opened to reveal an old cleaning lady. Her entrance cut through the tension in the room and took both Jason and Timothy by surprise.

“Sorry for not knocking, sir.” The woman's cheeks went red when she realised her mistake, and she stepped back.

“It's fine; please come in,” Jason said softly.
