Chapter One Hundred and Five - Helping hand

Twenty bags of cement later, Jason's hands were red and throbbing like they were about to pop. They were now decorated with blisters. His muscles were strained, which caused him to be in pain and discomfort every time he moved.

“This is all going to be worth it,” Jason whispered to himself as he dropped the twenty-first bag of cement on the top floor.

“Need help with those bags, newbie?” He heard someone say

He turned to see the person. It was a worker; he was standing next to the foreman, and they were both looking at Jason with wide grins like they enjoyed seeing him suffer.

Was he really offering to help? Jason thought.

“I could get my little sister to give you a hand, but she may outlift you,” the man said, then burst into laughter, the foreman joining in as they walked away.

Taking deep breaths, Jason shut his eyes and tried to calm himself down so he wouldn’t do anything to them that would ruin his plan.
