“Good morning to you too, Andrew,” Jason said sarcastically.

Andrew rolled his eyes at Jason. “Answer my question, Jason." Andrew insisted.

“I came to look for a job." Jason lied

Andrew burst into laughter when he heard that "you," he pointed at him, “came to look for a job at the Elysian Syndicate.”

“Yes, why’s that so funny?” Jason shrugged.

“Jason, you don’t even qualify to scrub the toilets here,” Andrew snarled.

"Well, you never know," Jason said with a smirk playing on his lips that annoyed Andrew.

“I don't have time for your nonsense today, Jay Jay,” he said the mocking nickname, then pushed past Jason, deliberately bumping him in the shoulder in the process.

Jason was sure that he was going to try and strike a deal with Amelia. He wanted to stay and watch Andrew fail, but he had to hurry back to Diana and encourage her to see Amelia.

Leaving the building, Jason crossed the road, oblivious to the black Ford speeding towards him. The sound of screeching tyres filled the air, and

He stood before the grave, staring at the name engraved on the marble headstone in bold and grand letters. MICHAEL ALLEN GREY He shifted uncomfortably, his hands buried deep in his pockets. “Hi, Grandpa,” he said, his voice quiet and uncertain. The word still felt foreign to him, but it was starting to feel less so. “Grandpa. It’s getting easier to say that, I think. Every time I come here, it’ll get a little easier.” Jason took a deep breath, looking down at the bouquet of lilies in his hand. “Well, I don’t really know what to say, but Diana advised I should just speak from the heart.” A small smile crept on his lips when he said that. He didn’t think he’d be able to bear the pain of coming to this

Reuben was instructed not to come upstairs to the warehouse, as Jason wasn’t sure what Connor might be capable of. Jason made it clear that Reuben should stay safe and avoid any unnecessary risks.Reuben, of course, took some creative liberties with the document.“Let my mother and daughter go. He slowly reached for his own gun, drawing it with a deliberate, practiced motion. “Or,” he sneered, “I can always shoot you, your mother, and then your daughter. In that order.”Jason didn’t flinch.
