Chapter Three: Agreeing to it

Jason heard noises coming from downstairs.

"Cheers to Lloyd and the Richardson Group!" He heard Mr. Gates yell.

"Cheers!" Eloise and her Mom chorused as they clinked their glasses and drank in joy.

"Here's the lazy man who calls himself my husband," Eloise mocked the moment she set her eyes on him. "While you were sitting here doing nothing, Lloyd got Winston Group to increase the investment from One billion to Five Billion Dollars," She added.

Jason stared at her. “Are you sure he didn't get on his knees and beg for it?” He asked.

This got her upset. She moved towards him.

"You know, I think you should apologize to Lloyd for hitting him earlier. I mean who else would want to employ a lowlife house-husband with no work experience, no skill, or money, who does nothing more but join the maids in cleaning the house," She said with a smirk on her face.

Jason knew she was trying to humiliate him, but he wasn't planning on stooping to her level.

"Five Billion Dollars doesn't make much of a difference, Eloise. A small company will still be a small company. Besides, I think you should advise him not to go around picking fights with people. Next time, he might end up with more than just a kick in the guts, or maybe even dead," He replied.

Just then, Lloyd walked into the house.

Ignoring Jason's remark, Eloise ran into Lloyd’s arms, hugging him passionately.

"Welcome back, Babe. We were just telling Jason about your deal with Winston Group,” She said.

“Oh really? So is he ready to behave like a good boy and listen to me?” He asked with a smirk on his face.

“No, he isn't, Babe. He is still being dumb as ever,” She replied.

“Too bad, I was hoping to give him a job as a cleaner since that's the only thing he is good at,” Lloyd said as he sat on the couch.

“That's so thoughtful of you,” Eloise said, sitting on Lloyd's lap. She wrapped her arms around his neck. “ You know what, I think you should stay for the night.”

“I would love that,” Lloyd replied. As his eyes met Jason's, he grinned, placing a kiss on Eloise's bare neck.

"You heard that right, Jason? Lloyd will be staying over, so you better not try to disturb us, okay?" Eloise said.

Jason sighed.

It was obvious that Eloise and her parents no longer saw him as a part of their family. Lloyd was the one they wanted.

"I agree to the divorce," He said in a firm tone.

Hearing those words, the smiles on the Gates family and Lloyd's faces grew wider. They all cheered gleefully.

Eloise stood up and rushed towards Jason. She caught the hem of his cloth, hooking him tightly.

"You can't go back on your word, Jason. You have to promise me," She muttered.

"I won't, Eloise. I am a man of my word. I just hope that you won't regret it," He replied in a firm tone.

Eloise chuckled as she let go and straightened his collar.

"The only thing I regret is letting my grandfather convince me to marry you in the first place," she said with a smirk on her face.

She grabbed the leftover wine from their earlier celebration.

"You should leave now, Jason. Staring at your face will only ruin my celebration," She said as she poured wine for everyone.

"I was already planning to," He replied.

"That's great. Meet me at the courthouse by noon for the signing of the divorce papers. And don't be late," Eloise said.

"Even if the world were to come to an end, I would still be there on time," Jason replied as he walked out of the mansion.

He dialed Lisa's number, and she answered immediately.

"Hello, Sir," She said.

"I'll send you an address, I need you to come pick me up," He said and ended the call.

In less than Twenty minutes, she was already at the gate of the mansion.

Without saying a word to her, he got in.

The tension in the car was so alarming that it made Lisa uncomfortable. She knew he was upset about something, but she couldn't bring herself to ask him.

"Where are you going, Sir?" She asked, finally breaking the silence.

"Nowhere," He replied, staring out of the window pane. "I have nowhere to go."

Lisa bit her lower lip. She wasn't sure if he would find her next words insulting, but she had no choice.

"If you would permit me, Sir, I can take you to my villa. It’s one of Winston Group's properties." She said.

Jason nodded.

The villa was grand and luxurious. The living room had polished marble floors and high ceilings with a shimmering chandelier. Velvet sofas in deep tones surrounded a sleek glass coffee table. Large windows framed the space, while modern art adorned the walls.

"You can have a seat, Sir. I'll go make dinner?" She said in a polite tone.

Jason nodded as he sat down.

Lisa hurried to her room to change. Her boss was staying over, so she had to look good.

Jason watched her as she returned, walking into the kitchen. With her silky nightgown and long, wavy hair cascading down to her waist, she looked completely different from the businesswoman he had met earlier.

Without wasting much time, Lisa took the food to the dining table and asked Jason to have a seat.

As she poured wine into his glass, the neckline of her nightgown dipped, revealing her alluring bosom. A shade of pink crept onto h

er cheeks when she noticed Jason's line of sight.

As she sat down, Jason reached out for her chest.
