"Thank you," She muttered, as her gaze went to her food.
While eating, they chatted about the company and a few private stuff.
Lisa noticed that Jason's glass was empty. She stood up and was about to pour wine, when the hem of her nightgown got stuck by the edge of the table, revealing her breathtaking thighs.
She tried to get it unstuck, but instead, she knocked a glass of water over, spilling some of it on Jason.
"I'm so sorry," She said as she grabbed a napkin and handed it to him.
"Don't worry about it, let's just continue eating," Jason said.
Lisa nodded as she watched Jason dry himself with the napkin.
There was an awkward silence in the room.
"About the deal with Mr. Richardson, the Five Billion Dollars has been transferred, so we now have a majority of the shares, and with time we will have control over the company," Lisa said, breaking the silence.
Jason smirked.
"Well done, Lisa; I didn't expect it to be done so fast—and in a day too. I'm impressed" He said.
Hearing Jason praise her, Lisa's face went slightly red.
"Thank you, Sir," She replied.
She hoped that Jason wouldn't notice the change in her complexion under the dim light, and he didn't.
"Also," Jason said in a firm but calm tone. "Whenever we are alone, you can drop the honorifics. I'm not used to it."
Lisa was shocked. She didn't think Jason, the boss of the number one company in Alderfall would say that.
She smiled as she leaned forward.
"Oh really, so tell me, Sir, what would you like me to address you by?" She asked in a low whisper, her voice sounding flirtatious.
Jason smiled.
"Where will I be sleeping tonight?" He asked, ignoring Lisa's seductive teasing.
His silver eyes stared at her, making her blush once more.
"The guest room is downstairs, while I sleep in the master's bedroom, which is upstairs," She said, stressing the place where she slept.
"Okay then," Jason said as he stood up. "I'll be sleeping in the guest room. Take me there."
Lisa nodded as she stood. She took Jason to the guestroom.
When Jason got in, he was about to shut the door when something came to his mind.
"Lisa!" He called out to her.
"Yes, Sir—I mean Jason," She replied.
Jason smiled.
"I need you to arrange a car for me, something ordinary. I don't want to be noticed. And I'll be needing it tomorrow morning," He said.
Lisa nodded. Before she could say anything, he shut the door, not noticing the frown on her face.
She walked away feeling disappointed.
*** Jason got out of the room, already freshened up and dressed for the day.Lisa had left a suit and other things he would need in front of his room. He was shocked to see that the suit fit him perfectly.
When he got to the dining room, breakfast was already laid out on the table.
"Good morning, Jason," She greeted as she set her eyes on him.
"Good morning," He replied.
He noticed that the food on the table was meant for only one person.
Before he could ask about it, Lisa noticed and spoke up.
"There is a board meeting holding at Richardson Group soon, so I have to leave early. I'll have breakfast later," She explained.
Jason nodded.
She handed him a car key. "This is the most ordinary car I could find under the company's name," She said.
As Jason took the key, she smiled and bowed down.
"Goodbye, Sir," She said, and then she straightened up and walked away.
Jason couldn't help but admire her. Not only was she good at her job, but she was also beautiful, having curves in the right places, making her desirable.
When he was done with breakfast, he went out to find a Limited Edition BMW parked in front of the villa.
Jason drove straight for the Courthouse. Just as he had guessed, Eloise and Lloyd were already there hours before the time.
They were shocked when they saw him coming down from the car. They couldn't help but wonder where he got it from.
Without saying anything to each other, Jason and Eloise went in to finally get the divorce.
The moment Eloise stepped out of the courthouse, she ran to Lloyd. They both started cheering and kissing each other.
Jason clapped, pulling their attention towards him.
"So I'm guessing I should be hearing the wedding bells soon, right?" He asked.
Eloise rolled her eyes.
"That's none of your business, Jason, so why don't you just do us a favor and leave," She said.
"That isn't a way to treat your future wedding guest, don't you agree?" He asked, moving close to them.
"What makes you think we would invite a nobody like you to our wedding?" Lloyd asked in an angry tone.
"You might call me a nobody, but yet Eloise's grandfather chose me to marry her and not you. So doesn't that make you more of a nobody than I am?" Jason taunted.
Lloyd got furious.
When his bodyguards saw him flare up, they moved towards Jason, surrounding him.
"That's enough, Lloyd. He doesn't deserve wasting our time" She said, holding onto his arm.
"You are right, baby. " He said.
Glaring at Jason, they got into the car and drove off.
Jason returned to the villa, he realized that it was a lot bigger than he imagined. It had a garden, a swimming pool, and even a parking lot that was similar to Central Park.
As he was strolling, someone yelled.
"Stay back! Who are you?!" A guy dressed as a bodyguard barked at him.
Something else caught his attention.
An older man and a young woman were standing behind the bodyguard..
"I have the right to walk freely. This is a public area," Jason said as he took another step forward."Stop!" Another bodyguard yelled. Pointing a gun towards Jason. With one move Jason knocked him out.Just then, the old man raised his hand."That's enough. You can let him through," He said to the bodyguards.Without saying a word, Jason walked past the old man.The girl beside the old man smirked."You don't know who you're messing with," She said, her eyes on Jason.Jason stopped in his tracks. He tilted his head towards the old man."He is nothing but a dying old man," He said, his tone calm and firm.Hearing those words, the girl got furious."How dare you say that about my grandfather!" She yelled. "You better watch your words!"Jason turned to them."If you care so much about him, then you should know that taking a walk outside will only make his condition worse," He said to the girl.Jason's words got the old man's attention. He spoke with the boldness of one with a lot of exp
"Hey, Jason!" Eloise called out from the other end. "I wanted to invite you to my wedding," She said cheerfully. But Jason didn't say a word. He just remained silent.Noticing that Jason wasn't planning on saying anything, Eloise snickered. "What’s the matter? Are you too scared to come?" She asked sarcastically.Jason let out a light chuckle. "Not scared at all, Eloise. On the contrary, I’d be honored to attend."Eloise laughed out. "That's great! For a second there I was worried you might chicken out on me," She said, a grin evident in her voice."Never," Jason replied. "I wouldn’t miss it for the world." He said and hung up.Just then, Lisa walked into the house. She had a bag in her hand and a playful smile on her face. "I’ve got a surprise for you, Jason," she said as she walked towards him.Jason glanced at her "A surprise, huh?" he replied flatly. "What would that be?""You’ll see soon enough," she said, walking past him and towards her room.A while later, Lisa reappeared in
A flush of pink crept into Lisa's cheeks. Before Jason could say anything, Lisa cut in."Just wanted to say goodnight," She muttered and ran away, leaving Jason confused. The next morning, Lisa had already left.Jason headed for the park to practice some boxing."Look who it is!" He heard a familiar voice and looked up to see Eloise and Lloyd."What are you doing here? You're not following me, are you?" Eloise said."He must be begging; all the residents are high society, like the lords we invited," Lloyd said with a laugh.Jason ignored her and walked past.Eloise feigned shock. "Oh, you must have great taste to choose such a nice place to beg!"Gabriela, who was outside, saw this and quickened her pace."Do you know this guy?" Gabriela asked pointing at Jason.Eloise sighed. "He used to be my husband, but we just got divorced. I couldn't stand being with an unemployed loser like him," she replied."Listen miss, don't let him charm you. He's not what he seems," Lloyd warned.A shiver
Early next morning, Jason made his way to Paradise Resort Island to attend the wedding.Without noticing, he passed a military SUV driving in the opposite direction. The imposing vehicle rolled to a halt in front of a luxurious villa. From the passenger seat emerged a man who embodied the essence of military authority. He was dressed in a well-pressed uniform. His chiseled features were stern beneath the brim of his hat, and his eyes were sharp, giving off the gaze of one who had numerous people under his command. “Dad!” Gabriella yelled as she rushed out of the villa. Her face lit up with a mix of relief. “Where’s your grandfather?” Robin asked.“He hasn’t woken up yet,” Gabriella replied. “Where's the fraud?” Robin’s jaw clenched at the mention of Jason’s name. “That fool has no idea who he’s dealing with.”Gabriella wasted no time, she pulled out her phone and quickly dialed Jason’s number."Where are you, Jason?" She questioned, her voice laced with anger."Why are y
Jason arrived at Paradise Resort Island. He parked his car at the parking lot before making his way to a small island situated in the center of the lake. The island had been transformed into a stunning wedding venue, adorned with elegantly set tables, beautifully arranged chairs, and vibrant flowers that filled the air with a sweet fragrance. As Jason approached the entrance, a security guard stepped in front of him, blocking his path. “Sorry, sir. I need to see your invitation,” the guard said firmly.Jason frowned. “I don’t have one,” he replied. The guard crossed his arms in front of him, his stance unwavering. “Everyone who’s invited has to have an invitation. No exceptions.”Jason let out a light chuckle. It turned out Eloise had fooled him. She never wanted him to be at the wedding, she just wanted him to quarrel with the bodyguards and make a fool of himself At that moment, Eloise and Lloyd appeared from behind the guard. Both of them looked absolutely stunning.Eloise looke
Robin stood tall and confident, like a member of his family. His gaze was sharp as he scaled Jason, convinced he had gained Robert’s trust through deceit. “You think you’re clever, don’t you?” Robin said in a calm tone “People like you, schemers, always have an agenda. So tell me, what are you really after?”Jason didn’t flinch, he remained calm and composed. He wasn't afraid of anything, let alone Robin. He had faced men like Robin before, and his true identity and abilities left him unshaken.“I’ve seen your type before,” Robin continued, his tone icy. “You think you can fool us, but you won’t get far.”Jason’s expression remained steady. “You’re wrong,” he said, his voice firm. “I’m not here to harm anyone, and I’m not playing any tricks with Robert Richmond.”Robin raised an eyebrow, clearly unconvinced. “So, what? You just happened to win over my father’s trust for no reason?” he asked, his words dripping with sarcasm.Jason met his gaze unwaveringly. “I did what I did for one
Jason didn't have any intention of going up on stage, but as he looked at Lisa, he realized what she was trying to do by giving him the platform. She was trying to help him out. With a slight nod to her, Jason rose from his seat. The room fell into a hush as eyes tracked his every move. He walked calmly towards the podium and made his way toward Eloise and Lloyd, who stood near the stage. Lisa stepped aside with a small smile, making way for him.The crowd’s reaction was instant and varied.Whispers echoed through the guests, many of whom had previously written Jason off as insignificant. But now, understanding who he truly was, they watched in shock and disbelief.Robin Richmond who was sitting behind Jason, kept his expression neutral, but his mind was racing. If Jason was really who the manager of Winston Group said he was, his family must have made a grave mistake. Robin couldn't help but think about the consequences and what it meant to provoke someone with Jason’s influence.
“The decision wasn’t mine,” Lisa said in a calm and firm tone. “It was made by the board due to the ongoing investigation. So don't blame me. Blame your criminal husband-to-be.""But... But still... You shouldn't..." Eloise stammered, trying to find the right words to use. "You can’t just fire Lloyd like that! There must be something you can do. This can’t be happening!"Lisa remained calm, her expression unshaken by Eloise’s plea. "Eloise," she began, her voice still firm and even. "Lloyd has broken the law. His involvement in tax evasion makes him unfit to continue as the CEO of Richardson Group. This is not a personal matter—it’s business."The weight of Lisa’s words seemed to hang in the air, suffocating both Lloyd and Eloise. They couldn't believe what was going on.Without breaking her calm, Lisa signaled to her secretary, who quickly approached with a document in hand. As the guests leaned forward, looking on, the secretary placed the file in Lisa’s hand. She turned to Eloise
With a haughty grin, the man introduced himself, “Oscar Evans. I don’t think you know me, do you? Well, I'm not surprised. It's obvious you don't belong here.” His eyes swept over Jason dismissively before he added, “I see Ms. Karl has gone out of her way to bring along her driver. Maybe it’s best if you left before you embarrass yourself.” His tone dripped with condescension, and Jason felt a flicker of irritation. Before Jason could respond, Oscar continued, clearly enjoying himself. “This venue is strictly for the upper echelon. You’re out of your league, friend,” he said, sneering. “A driver like you couldn’t possibly appreciate any of this.”Jason clenched his jaw, determined to hold back his frustration, though it was becoming increasingly difficult. Though he was dressed in casual clothes, he wasn’t here to draw attention or start a confrontation, but Oscar’s smug attitude was testing his patience.Just as Oscar finished his tirade, a muscular man entered the hall, drawing atte
Lisa paused, watching the expression on Jason's face. He still had an expressionless look on his face, so Lisa couldn't tell if he was okay with her request or not. She bit her lips as she thought of what to do next. “I have a feeling you don't like stuff like banquets and dinner parties, but... I would... I would still love for you to come with me," She stammered trying to convince him. "I just… I don’t feel comfortable going alone, especially after everything that’s happened.” “Lisa, I think you might be overthinking this. Nothing is going to happen to you,” Jason replied gently, though he could see the worry etched on her face. Lisa sighed. "I know, but..." She paused. She didn't know what else to say to him. Jason kept his eyes on her. He didn't want to budge, but her pleading expression softened his resolve, and he couldn’t bring himself to turn her down. Finally, he nodded. “Alright, if it’ll make you feel safer, I’ll go.” Lisa's face lit up with relief. “Thank you, Jas
"Well, I would love to tell you why I am here, but it is not a matter best discussed at night on a porch," the man said, his tone, though polite, still carrying a touch of pride in it. "So tell me, Mr. White, can I come in? Or should I say, Mr. Winston?"Jason watched the man carefully, remembering Stark’s words about a powerful ally called the Owens family. There was no mistaking it now, Jason thought; the man in front of him was part of that hidden network."Yes, you can," Jason replied, a smile on his face as he stepped aside, gesturing for Xavier to come in. "And I prefer Mr. White."Xavier let out a low chuckle. He walked in and settled himself on the couch with a measured almost unsettling calm. Jason, on the other hand, sat beside Lisa on another couch, keeping her within reach, his posture protective. He took out a box from his pocket, lit a cigarette, and took a slow drag from it, his gaze hard and unblinking. “So, what brings you here?” he asked in an even tone, though his
Jason looked down at Lloyd, his expression hardening with contempt, and then he scoffed. Without a word, he delivered a swift, brutal kick to Lloyd's chest, sending him sprawling backward. Lloyd hit the ground with a thud, his body crumpling as he slipped into unconsciousness, a hollow silence following his collapse.A few of the special forces men started for Jason to try to hold him back, but Robin raised an arm, signaling them not to interfere.Jason, barely paying attention to them, slightly glanced at Lloyd before turning his focus to Stark, who quivered, his earlier swagger was now scattered. He moved with a quiet intensity as he approached Stark, his gaze cold and unyielding. Stark’s face paled as Jason loomed over him, his eyes blazing with a silent fury.“Why did you go after Lisa?” Jason demanded, his voice low but filled with menace. The tension in the room was thick, and everyone could feel the weight of his words.Stark stammered, his confidence utterly shattered. “It...
"If your friend doesn't show up, who is going to save you then?" Stark asked with a smirk on his face.Jason gave a calm, almost playful smile, brushing off the tense atmosphere. “If backup doesn’t show up soon," he said with an air of unbothered confidence. "I’ll just have to handle this myself,” he remarked, his words carrying a subtle but unmistakable warning.Stark chuckled. He felt no concern. His expression remained one of absolute authority. Besides, he was the notorious leader of Alderfall’s most feared gang.As a man who had ruthlessly crushed all opposition in his rise to power, he had grown used to instilling fear. His previous rival had been eliminated discreetly by his powerful backer, leaving Stark in control of the area without any real opposition. For Stark, this situation with Jason and the Winston Consortium was a chance to send a clear message to them and everyone else, which is that he was the one who held control in Alderfall, and anyone challenging him would eith
Lloyd was visibly startled as he stared at Jason. Then a mocking grin spread across his face as he tried to stifle his disbelief. “You have no idea what you’re dealing with,” He said, sneering at Jason. “Do you even know who’s backing me here? This is the head of the Viper Gang and his gang members!” He yelled as he pointed towards Stark, his eyes glinting with satisfaction as if he expected Jason to recoil. But Jason didn't flinch. His calm response was just a simple shrug. “Never heard of them,” he replied smoothly, his expression unruffled. The dismissiveness in his tone struck a nerve, and Lloyd’s face twisted in frustration. Beside him, Stark, the bald leader of the gang, raised an eyebrow, a faint smirk tugging at the corners of his lips. Though it sounded like a lie, Jason was telling the truth. He had never heard of a Viper Gang before. “Oh, so you’ve got a sense of humor?” Stark retorted, folding his arms. “Don’t worry. By the end of today, you’ll know exactly who
"Where are you?" Jason asked, his voice sounding indifferent, masking his concern. Lisa glanced at Stark. One of his men wrote something on a piece of paper and brought it to her.“Head up north to Riverton Factory,” she said, trying to keep calm.Jason instantly felt something was off; her tone was too controlled, too formal for a casual request. But he replied steadily, “I’ll be there soon.”***Robert sat in the dining as he instructed his Chef. He had spent hours thinking about what his son and granddaughter did to Jason. He decided to treat Jason to dinner, hoping that would soothe any anger he still harbored against their family. “Prepare something special. We’ll need drinks and a good meal. I’ll be inviting someone special, so I want you to make your best dish.” He instructed."Okay Sir," The Chef replied as he nodded slightly.Just then, Robin walked in."Great, you are here," Robert said, pulling Robin's attention. “ I need you to head over to Jason’s place and tell him th
"What am I doing?" Lloyd said and then slammed his fork onto the table, his expression twisting with rage. "What am I doing? You destroyed my career, ruined my wedding and my future... Oh! Let's not forget how you also got me fired!" He yelled, his voice trembling with fury as he leaned forward, glaring at Lisa with a look of pure resentment. "Now, thanks to you, I'm facing punishment from Richardson Group's Overseas Headquarters."He paused, his eyes narrowing as he imagined what awaited him. Lloyd knew all too well how merciless the Richardson's Group internal security team could be. They were relentless with those who failed, particularly those who were in debt. As a former high-ranking official, he had witnessed firsthand how severely they dealt with people in his position. His fall from grace meant he was now just another target, one they would go after without hesitation.Dismissed, disgraced, and with nothing left to lose, Lloyd had reached a breaking point. In a moment of de
As Eloise tapped the "end call" icon, she let out a frustrated sigh, barely able to keep herself from throwing the phone across the room. She had tried making a few calls to find someone to help out with the loan, but everyone rejected her request. Her jaw was clenched, as she tried to steady her breathing. “I need to set up a meeting with the person in charge—tomorrow, if possible,” she muttered.Eloise knew the meeting with the bank wouldn’t be easy. The news of her company’s instability had spread quickly through the financial world, making it almost certain that convincing the bank to extend the loan would be an uphill battle. But she couldn’t afford to give up. She had worked so hard for Gates Group to let it crumble. She looked back at her parents, their faces a mixture of anger and anxiety. Beneath their anger toward Jason, she could see fear lingering.Mr. Gates finally sat down. “He’s practically a puppet master,” he muttered as he thought about Jason, shaking his head
