Road Through Damnation

Chapter 15

Fast Forward 2

Drew POV

I have been in this world for a year now and loss all hope of going back to planet earth. I know magic is here but still the lack of technology was a minus for me. Look I am a person from the 21st century and an African to boot.

I have become used to a life where technology makes my life easier and helps me solve my problems. But on a second thought, maybe just maybe because I am living in this backwater place access to technology has become a bit difficult.

Because, I had come to learn that this planet is way bigger than earth and it has not been fully explored yet so maybe just maybe there might be some technological ruins. Or I might find someone who is just like me.

I do hope I find someone who is a reincarnate just like me. Despite my concerns and issues, I have here I must say I have grown stronger and tougher too.

The constant fights both Anna and Raven had with monsters help me immensely. It helped me think of mana as a way of life and not just a material for casting mana. They both helped me channel mana through my mana pathways easily.

I think around my 7 month I managed to fully unlock my mana pathways which forced my body to exude out black slimy substances out of my body.

Both Anna and Raven were greatly surprised but kept their cool because they knew Drew was not your average baby. He always did things that normal babies his age would not do, and it has been proven repeatedly.

He was able to sit on his back at the age of 2 months and began to crawl at the age of 4 and half months. He also did not cry unless necessary that was when he was either hungry or wanted to a dunk. So, his cries were always their top priority whenever they heard it.

Both mothers took Drew and sent him to a river close to where they were practicing their mana circulation and cleaned him up there.

I think the black substances I poured out of my body gave my system a fresh look I needed then.

That was how my status window looked when I was 7 months old, and it helped me gauged my strength then. I was happy to know that my stamina stat was the highest among my physical stats. This meant that I would be spending long hours in bed and on battle.

The stamina stat was then followed by the strength stat which showed me how stronger I was. Then the agility stat was about how fast I can be in my everyday life. No one needed to tell me, but I think my mother’s agility stats ought to be in the hundreds.

And it was proven repeatedly, she was as fast as lightening when fighting or preventing me from venturing outside of the house to explore the outside world.

Thanks to those slimy substances, I was able to expel out I began to now feel the flow of mana in my body without any hindrance. It felt refreshing every time I felt the tingly sensation of mana all over my body at the same time.

I felt I could control my blood to a certain limit, but it was in small quantities. I think as I grow older, I might develop blood control skills if I am lucky.

Finally, when I started crawling, I remembered to always increase the gravitational force acting on my body to help me get stronger quickly. In the beginning it was painful and tiring but I persevered in that endeavor. And that simple exercise I did back then was bearing ripe fruits for me to eat.

I had gotten stronger and had also learned of many ways to use my gravity manipulation skill. I found out that the skill helps me increase the weight of objects, but my mana size would determine the size of the object and how long I can keep the spell going.

I run a lot of simulations in my head this past year and all those simulations helped my gravity skill gain a considerable amount of proficiency points. I always thanked my science teacher every time I think about the gravitational skill. Because if it were not for his lessons and my interest in the subject, I would not have attained the level of proficiency I now had.

During the one-year period Raven decided to embark on a journey to help her close that 5%n gap between Anna and her. So, it has been long since I saw her, but I was not worried about her that much because she was as strong as Anna. And I believed no one could stand in her way if she decided to fuck around.

“Drew I want you to sit on the new table and chair I bought yesterday. I want you to sit there and wait for me patiently. I have a surprise for you.” My mother told me with a beautiful smile.

I decided to heed her instruction and sat sit on the chair and table my mother bought yesterday. I also realized that there was a blackboard in front of me as soon as I looked ahead.

No one needed to tell me I was about to get schooled by my mom.
