Road Through Damnation

Chapter 7

Realization 3

Drew’s POV

Witnessing the fight between my moms’ felt surreal and out of this world. It looked like a simple confrontation between them, but I knew it was more than that.

Both women were moving at insanely high speed for normal people. Also, the dents on the floor made by their feet showed the level of strength used.

Lastly, I was also surprised and amazed by the magic my mother used, it was very practical, and I could see some uses of the flames. It felt natural when I saw my mother making that butterfly and firecrackers.

It made me fear my mother more because I knew it took a great deal of control to be able to alter the forms of the fire.

I never learnt any craftmanship skill in my previous life, but that did not mean I did not watch the work of crafters.

I would always watch how crafters like carpenters turn wood into sophisticated pieces of arts. How hair beauticians manage to change the hair styles of people and even how goldsmiths, blacksmiths and other forms of artisans bring life into inanimate objects.

Drew being a person who lacked the necessary skills to learn a hand trade decided to use his weapons and people as pieces of arts.

When he uses a gun, he always made sure to shoot through the openings on bodies. It could be the mouth, ears, nose, anus, virgina or the small gaping hole in the penis foreskin.

When he uses a knife, he always took time to skin the person alive or made numerous wounds on a person and rub pepper all over his body. The constant screams and pleas was like music to his ears. He also liked hammering nails into the heads of people, it felt like magic to him whenever he did those deeds. Due to these sick tendencies of his he learnt the anatomy of the human body and all its related topics.

Drew sometimes used some weird methods when he felt a person’s sin was too much. He would grab a person by the head and just dip the person’s face in boiling oil. He would sometimes place a living being inside a metallic container and place the container on fire. The container and the person would just melt together living no traces of his involvement.

His methods were savage to others but also effective because rarely would he see a mole among his men. You could say that handcraft of his made him reach the pinnacle of crime.

“So, the wise saying that a hand skill learnt will follow you to death was true indeed.” Drew mumbled these words under his breath when he realized he still had knowledge on such topics. ‘I cannot wait to try it out on the other races’.

‘Are they different? Do they have a different anatomy? Do they even bleed red blood like us?’ Drew mind raced with many questions when he thought of the fun he was going to have later in his life.

He fell asleep shortly due to the sudden brain activity, he had squandered the little stamina he had.

Anna sent Drew to bed when she saw him sleeping soundly on the couch, she looked at him with a loving gaze and kissed him on the forehead wishing for his success in his future endeavors.

After 30 minutes Drew woke up and began to see if he could sense and use mana like his mother. He had come upon a certain realization when he was thinking about craftmanship.

He knew that every craftsman needed tools and materials to create a piece of art. He could say that piece of art had life in it because it was born into the world and granted a name.

‘So, the question now is, how do I use mana to create life? I know I am the tool, and the mana is the material and I just need to change the form of mana into a piece of art. So right now, how do I used the material when I cannot find it?’

Drew knew he had mana within him but sadly he could not circulate because he felt a certain wall in blocking the paths of those circuits.

Drew asked himself these questions, he had no obvious answers to them. He knew he was this close in finding out what mana truly is and how it functioned.

His mind became a little troubled, so he decided to breathing in deeply to relax his nerves. Whiles breathing in deeply he felt a strange addition to the air he breath. That addition managed to sooth his brains and made him feel relaxed.

At that moment he knew he had felt the surreal power of mana. He had always felt it in tiny bits in the past, but it seems when he breath in deeply he took a lot into his system.

But just like air when he was breathing out, he felt them escaping, so he decided to store the little he could within his body. It was painful and tiring but he managed to pull through.

‘Finally, I have some usable mana within me, huff, huff, huff, it wasn’t easy, but I pulled through.’

With the little mana Drew managed to gather within him, he made a spark of fire using his theory and it work like how he envisioned it perfectly.

It was just a spark of fire, but Drew knew he was now a step closer to his goal of becoming the strongest in the world. He now had something to do and that was the circulation of mana.

This new world is going to be amazing.

“HAHAHHAHAHHAHAHHAHHAHAHAHAHHA.”
