Justin slammed the door in anger, noticing through the corner of his eyes the fact that his staffs subtly tried to disappear. He didn't even mind that, he was sure he had terrified his employees at work with the dark scowl on his face coupled with his communication prowess. He honestly wasn't happy with his behavior but the anger he had been feeling since he had seen his destroyed restaurant was still bubbling close to the surface.
Benson didn't value his life obviously since he was the only one that stuck to him. Justin stomped up the stairs to his room and slammed the door, not surprised to hear the firm knock barely ten seconds after. He knew Benson had been following him but he really wasn't in the mood to talk to him, or anyone for that matter. Which was why he hadn't told anyone about it yet. He and Benson had become friends in the past few weeks and he already knew how Benson would react. He ignored the knock and the door was jerked open after the third knock by Benson, his face a mask of fury. "What's going on with you?" Justin turned to Benson, furious. "Nothing. Just get out." Benson stood his ground. "Not until you stop acting like a child and tell me what's going on. Is your plan to scare your staff into leaving? I heard some news from the office but waited till you got home to talk it through with you but you are here acting like a child." The lid that had been barely covering Justin's rage spilled over and he slammed into Benson, his hands digging into his neck. "Are you keeping track of me?" He was tired of being watchful of every step as he had way too many enemies to live his life in peace. Benson didn't fight back but instead a small smile ghosted his face. "You know I won't do that. I received some calls from a few terrified people." He clarified calmly. Justin removed his arms and glared at Benson, panting with frustration and annoyed he wasn't fighting back. He needed to hit someone or something and since he hadn't grown up breaking things, he couldn't bring himself to break any of the appliances in his room. Benson had said the truth, he knew that. Yet, that insecure part of him that had been maltreated in the hands of almost everyone was clenching. He moved away from Benson who was massaging his neck and studying him. "What's going on?" Justin stood without a word and went to his laptop and connected it to the flash he had used to take the video of the restaurant being destroyed. Benson, needing no other encouragement, followed him. Justin played the video and his fingers clenched into fists as he watched it again. He had thought of nothing but what he was seeing all day and watching it again was bringing back his anger tenfold. He opened his camera roll and showed Benson the pictures he had taken of the restaurant. One thing he was thankful for was the fact that the exterior of the restaurant had been left alone. He turned to Benson pleased to see him angry. "Can you see what is going on with me now?" Benson nodded. "Have you found out who it is?" Justin turned his chair to face Benson who was sitting on his couch. "Yes. The Romanos have been showing me their real colors for a while now but this is their era of showing me how cruel they can be. It's now my turn to show them what I can do." Justin wasn't really hurt since he had always known how cruel they could be but the fact that they had possibly assumed the restaurant was his only source of income and they had intentionally tried to sabotage it. He wasn't of the assumption that it wasn't a family affair. If he hadn't known what psychopaths they were, he would have been envious of their family relationship. They only became the perfect family when they wanted to ruin others. Benson nodded. "Do you want me to help you?" Justin shook his head. He had carefully planned his strategy and all that was left was putting it into action. "This is my fight to see through.I'm going to attack what they consider the most important." "Their reputation?" Benson asked and Justin nodded. He wasn't that impressed because he knew how much Benson observed, watched and filed information about the people Justin considered enemies, at least those he had talked about. "I'm going to destroy them in the worst way possible. I'll make sure they regret all their actions, not only to me but to everyone they ever stepped on." Justin swore. "What is your plan?" Benson asked, anticipation clear on his face. .Justin smiled just as his phone buzzed. "You will find out soon." *********************** Tyler leaned towards Nora. "I wasn't mistaken in my assumptions, right?" They were gathered at Nelson and Nora's home, discussing Justin's plans for revenge. Benson would have been present except he was on a trip. Nora had finally quit now that the time for revenge had come. Nora smiled. "Of course. I'm perfect for the job. Didn't I mention that you notice a lot when you're quiet and I may or may not have snooped to find something more." She held her hands up as her brothers opened their mouths. "I was careful about it. Nothing can be traced back to me. Don't worry about it." Nelson rolled his eyes. "Don't you dare put yourself in danger like that again or I'll fish you out and kill you myself, understood?" Nora looked at Justin like she was expecting support but he shook his head. "He's right." In her former place of work, she had been trying to protect one of her friends and her boss had found her snooping in his papers and she had been kidnapped. Nelson made a gesture to Nora indicating his mockery and Justin sighed when Nora stood up. Justin grabbed Nora's arms. "Focus please."It was in moments like this he was happy he wasn't born a twin. They sure lived an exhausting life. Even at their ripe age of thirty six, they still behaved like they were children. He shuddered when he thought of their teenage years, it was a miracle their mother survived that period." So far, what do you have Nora?" He asked, in a bit to distract them from the glaring contest they currently had going on. Nora had some information about the Romanos he had counted on her having and his brother was the best at unveiling even the darkest buried secrets in a matter of minutes, hours at the most. With the power he had and his siblings, he was going to make sure everything the Romanos had enjoyed crumbled at their feet and he would cheer as that happened. He was done being walked over. ************************** Cyril rushed into Tyler's room loudly where he was playing a game. Tyler looked at him in irritation at the distraction." I'm busy. Can't you see that?" "Have you checked your phone recently?" Cyril's voice trembled. Tyler rolled his eyes. What was with the overreaction anyway? "No. Is there a reason I should?" Cyril picked Justin's phone from the table and threw it at him, watching the shock come over him. "What is this?"Tyler cursed as he read the message again. He checked the sender and sure enough it was from an unreachable number."Stop panicking. It's most likely a spam message. What can they know about us?" He yelled to his father who was pacing and muttering."Then why was it sent to both of us? This doesn't feel like a spam message to me. This is why I was against the last move."Tyler rolled his eyes and slammed his fists on the table. "So what now, are you blaming me? Why should we take this seriously?"Why was the universe intentional of pissing him off today. Why should he even take the text seriously? He saw his father typing a reply and he snatched his phone from him. "What are you doing?" He asked with clenched teeth."Let me ask him who he is. I won't let him take everything I've ever worked for.""What part of not encouraging the person don't you understand? It is a spam message that most likely was also sent to a few thousand other people." He ended with a yell and his father grabbe
Justin took a sip of his coffee and smiled his thanks to the cook who returned it with a nod and went back to the kitchen. He hadn't exactly gotten close to his staff but at least now he knew their names and a little about their families. He was having fun living the life he currently was living. He opened his phone and propped it on its holder, tuning it to his recent favorite show, the Romanos family. It was amazing the level of privacy one could intrude in just because they had money.Benson entered the dining room, dangling a key. “I have to go and meet one of our directors. I'll come and meet you later at work.”“Sure.” Justin waved and smiled when he had closed the door. Since he started his quest for revenge, Benson had assumed the role of nursemaid and bodyguard whenever he was in the restaurant, which had reopened after the disaster. He turned his attention back to his phone. He was getting feedback from the Romanos in real time. Cameras had been planted in their houses and
Justin straightened the crisp on the banner he was sure wasn’t needed, but he needed to please his mother-in-law to ensure his peace of mind. He had been on his feet since four o clock that morning making sure the venue for his wife, Rosetta's movie premiere, was perfect. He wasn't in charge and didn't have any say involving any decision, he was merely a hired help his in- laws could order to do their whims."Does that look straight to you?" Martha, his mother-in-law, berated. She pointed at the worker that was hired for the purpose. "Come down. You go up there and straighten it. If anything goes wrong, I'm going to have your head."Justin Romano lowered his head in shame, refusing to meet the eyes of the worker, who was looking at him curiously as he came down the ladder. Justin climbed up the ladder and redid the banner, making sure it was as straight and crisp as possible. He looked to his mother-in-law for her opinion, but she merely gave him a scathing look."Are you going to sta
After forty-five minutes of intense sweeping, Justin wiped the sweat pouring down his face and looked at the hall in satisfaction at what he had been able to achieve. All the banners were up, the decorations were eye catching and the floor was sparkling. He was finally done. None of his in laws were around, and he guessed they had gone to change into their outfits to begin welcoming their guests.Justin went to the bathroom in his room in the apartment that had been hired close to the hall and washed his face. He was tempted to go and get dressed himself since he was walking the red carpet with his wife, but he knew he could be called out of the blue to take care of something that might cause a stain which would really tempt his in-laws to kill him, he was sure.He went to the kitchen to check on the progress of the cooks and nodded with pleasure when he noticed they were almost done. His wife came in and he smiled at her. It was the first time he was seeing her since they had arrived
Justin groaned as he struggled to open his eyes. For some reason, his head hurt and he could not open his eyelids. He threw his head back on the bed when his intense pounding in his head got harder. What happened? The only time he had felt like this was when he’d had a terrible hangover when he had drank on his twenty-first birthday, but he was sure he hadn't drunk. Or had he? He couldn’t remember what had happened the previous day.A warm body beside him reoriented him a little. Even with how horrible he was feeling, he knew he couldn’t have been beside his wife. He peeled open his eyes and gasped as he met the eyes of a strange woman… who obviously looked like she had also just woken up.He jumped out the bed, taking the covers with him, when he realized he was stark naked. He realized his mistake when his eyes met the woman’s naked body. What the heck had happened the night before? He took his boxers and ran into his bathroom, pulled it on and splashed water on his face willing him
Justin stared at the ornate door the Romano’s were so proud about and ignored the security men that were watching him suspiciously and rang the bell. Amazing how people could change, it wasn’t long ago he was considered a part of the house. He had arrived earlier that day and had to plead with the security to be allowed to go and pack his things before he had been allowed. His access cards were no longer working, dang, his ex in laws were fast.Justin, having been thrown out of the rented apartment the day before after signing the divorce papers, had slept at his older brother's place, but he had come back to the Romano Villa to pick his things. He knew he wasn't going to be met with friendliness, but he was determined to take all he would be able to. He had important documents in his room, his in laws would destroy if they found. He rang the doorbell again and sighed, knowing he was intentionally being ignored. Well, he wasn't a part of them any longer, so he would not allow himself
Justin looked at the message again. “You have been credited with 800 billion dollars to your PayPal from Benson Murphy” and truly, his account that was formerly on zero had 800 billion in it. He wasn't sure what he was more shocked at, the amount or the name of the creditor. Even children knew who Benson Murphy was, he was the butler of the most influential and wealthy family in all of America, the Sandlers. There were even rumors that the Sandlers worth in terms of properties could no longer be measured because of how plenty they were.He remembered where he was and how many minutes he had been given and hurried to his room, going straight to his wardrobe. He removed the file that had all his important documents and looked around the room. That was the only thing that was his in the room, even though he had lived there for the past three years. He remembered the first time he had been taken to that room. It was the very day Eugene had died. He had formerly being in a guest room an
Benson sighed. “At fist. I decided to watch you, so I would know if you were living a good life and if you will be interested in what I had to say.”Justin nodded, he could remember bit by bit the circumstance that had landed him in the hospital.“I was in front of the gate that day and I immediately brought you to the hospital.”Nora frowned at Justin,” Why did you continue like that? Don’t you have pride?”Justin narrowed his eyes, annoyed, “I guess I lost it. But you’re one to talk. Don’t tell me they treat their staffs kindly.” Nora worked in the Benson’s company, where they produced industrial machines. It had been coincidental that they had ended up together since she had started working before he had met Eugene, but he hadn’t mentioned anything about her to them.“Stop arguing on who did better, both of you. We need to let Justin make his decision on what he is going to do. Forget the Romanos, what do you want to do now?” Nelson berated. Before Justin could talk, Benson interru
