Chapter 13 – Bringer Of Chaos

Bel looked confused as the beast instantly shattered into a pile of green moss.

“You looked satisfied?” While he was dazed by the shocking action, Leo looked placid as he sat on the ground into his brief trance of imagination.

“Will you ever get exhausted, you’ve been making dozens of them.”

An exhausted voice, similar to that of Bel echoed in the surroundings as multiple creatures of different sizes and shapes assembled around Leo who still sat on the ground in a process of creating more of them.

“At least, will your imagination ever dry off? And you should know that making them too large would draw unwanted attention.”

After Bel’s almost raging words, the dozens of creatures disappeared into thin air. Leo jumped on his feet with a satisfied smile as his eyes fell upon the sun that was beginning to set.

“Unfortunately Bel, I don’t think you’ve ever had this feeling of excitement within me! It’s… it’s blissful.” Leo sniffed the air that smelt heavenly to his nostrils, even though it was totally normal to any other person.

Bel smirked and shook his head with a formal smile, “It’s already sunset, I’ll go home now… while you’ll continue your self-proclaimed daily routine!”

While he turned around ready to zoom into the sky, Leo’s rough palm grabbed him by the arms, and in return, he turned his now deadly gaze towards him.

“Bel… ermm, do you have any core pearl with you?”

Leo stammered with the deathly glare that looked directly into his eyes, and his heart felt like it was going to collapse. He let go of his arms within mediate with his stare caressing around the area.

“Maybe the great green Qaste, and the Darr Robin?”

A smile slowly crept onto Bel’s face and two fairly large and crystalline-looking objects appeared on his palms, “Another scale of chaos, hun?”

The two glittering items were both different in color as they glowed bright into the dim surrounding. Core pearl being raw resources were extremely rare in the Redia Kingdom mostly due to the fact that its region was almost extinct of creatures ranging above the age of six decades.

Meanwhile, the core pearl acquired from any living creature needed to be above a century years old before having the capability to live outside a host.

These items of impeccable strength and power are considered to be luxurious breakfasts since they can be consumed by both plants and animals.

It's number ability is to increase the capability, or strength of the consumer, almost like a semi-fire grading.

He, Bel handed the object to Leo who felt blessed as it met his palms. Although it was not the first time using it on a summoned beast, the sight still had him drooling in fantasy.

“Thank you!”

Bel nodded with a careless face and instantly transformed into a smaller version of his original form before flying out of the scene. Leo in return sat on the ground, placing the core pearl beside him before closing his eyes into a world of endless imaginations.

Some couple of minutes later, a ghastly and huge creature hovered mid-air. His eyes flung open within a matter of few seconds and he jumped on his feet with an undeniable feeling of enthusiasm.

He picked one of the two core pearls from the ground and did not hesitate to throw it at the floating monster that quickly changed from its transparent hue into a bold red.

The creature looked terrifyingly ugly with a pair of twisted horns that embodied its head. Its ghost-like body shape that floated in the air looked massive with a pair of short arms.

But overall, the monster looked most befitting for a Halloween event.

While the core pearl of the great green Qaste remained on his palms, he immediately threw it into his mouth which quickly absorbed the ice-cold texture that gradually melted in his mouth.

“You! Your main purpose is to have fun with the people we are going to encounter, whether by killing or whatsoever… just be evil.”

Like a simple command, the creature nodded to Leo’s words and he zoomed into the sky, following after Leo who’d reached a greater distance.

…..

“Who was that?” Far behind the small plain of land, a crew of over five guards unveiled from a grass-hedge.

“He’s making his way to the village! All we can do for now is to wish Elder Thomas and his newborn safe!”

The men shrugged while muttering within themselves.

Leo and the creature landed on the ground behind his former home that was as silent as a graveyard. He tip-toed out of the dark surrounding into the wide lane that was absent of any living being.

The creature zoomed out of his hiding place and did not hesitate to release its thundering roar that made the patched roofs of the other houses tremble.

“Are we now going to play a game of hid and seek?” Leo cat walked across the lane and the creature followed behind like a spooky and dangerous guard.

The area turned silent for some seconds, and over a dozen of guards flew out of their various hiding places. Leo looked startled, but that face only lasted for a few seconds before he returned to his deadly glare.

“I think the king finally agreed to help the village with you guys?” He laughed and his gaze immediately turned to the ghastly monster that did not hesitate to attack the guards who stood with a look of boldness within their eyes.

While the monster quickly flew towards the brave guards, the environment looked like it suddenly transformed into a peerless void.

The guards' expressions turned 360 and they looked scared to the core, especially with the unknown void that technically blinded their eyes to the real world, and the monster that vastly approached them.

The monster, however, penetrated itself into the body of one of the guards and burst out within immediate. The man in return fell to the ground with a body that instantly turned static and molded.

“Damn the heavens!”
