Chapter 17

~Hospital, outside Chicago Prison~

When CEO Connor heard of what happened to Viviette he was devastated that he had to rush to the hospital at the crack of dawn.

There was no way for the sunlight to peak out today, because outside, the air cuts through the skin like a knife. Dewdrops fell on the trees and the leaves.

CEO Connor stopped at the reception and tapped on it to gain their attention. He was carrying a bouquet of flowers to show a sign of care as Officer Viviette was one of their youngest workers.

“I am looking for Viviette Faust's ward, please.”

“Viviette Faust? Give me a minute,” the receptionist ran her hands along the keyboard.

“Viviette Faust has been admitted to ward 39, she is receiving her medications now and I will place a call if you are here for a visit.”

“Correct, good then. Tell her it's CEO Connor,” he said.

“CEO Connor,” the receptionist repeated, “got it.”

After the call was made, and about five minutes later, CEO Connor was granted a visit to ward 39.
