Arran asked Brianna in astonishment.
"Yes, I do," she confirmed.
Arran looked at Brianna up and down and he was wondering what had gotten into the girl this time. Before she was thanking him for saving her life and that could be excused since it had been a misunderstanding in the first place, but now that she had brought this up, Arran did not know what she wanted to do.
Still, Arran did not have the time to consider this matter so he only asked her.
"Why? Why do you want to join me and even if I could let you come with me, what purpose would that serve me?"
"In short, what benefits would having you by my side bring to me?"
"Frankly speaking, you are not strong enough to be of any use to be, and having you by my side would only be a burden to me. I have time to babysit you so unless you can prove your value to me right now then there is no point in bringing this up again."
