The dealer immediately got two dice and placed them in the small cup that isolated all forms of detection before handing it to Arran for him to give the dice a good shake.
In this particular game, the dealer decided to use normal dice that had not been specially treated by the gambling house to see how good Arran's luck was.
As this sort of game heavily relied on one's luck, the gambling house would usually have the means to prevent people with incredible luck from winning a lot of money from the house.
This is why the dealer only used regular dice to test Arran's luck.
